Military Retirement injustice

Military Disability Retirement MUST be paid!

When a military service member is retired for a disability incurred or aggravated by service they should be entitled to 2.5% of their base pay X their years of service. When a service member completes 20 years of service they are entitled to 50% their base pay and VA computation. If a service member voluntarily ops for the TERA program and retires prior to completing their 20 years they are entitled to both 2.5% of their base pay X their years of service and VA computation. Unfortunately, if the service caused or aggravated a medical condition and that service member is permanently retired due to their disability they are ONLY eligible for VA computation OR retirement pay NOT both, as they should be. This is a gross injustice to the men and women of the our armed forces! I urge you to look into this issue affecting so many service members that would have served the full 20 years if given the opportunity. This must be changed and it must be changed now! I beg you to support this and make a change.
