My father has Chronic Progressive Multiple Sclerosis. He has been a quadriplegic for the past ten years, and his symptoms are getting much worse, very fast. We live in the state of Texas, where the death penalty for convicted felons is legal, but helping someone who can not end their own life is not. We put animals out of their misery, but we refuse to show the same compassion for people. My father was diagnosed with a disease that has no cure and WILL kill him, why not help him end his suffering before it's unbearable for even him to handle. He is the strongest person I have ever met. Please sign this petition and share it so no other children will have to watch their parents suffer, or so that no parent (like my grandmother) will have to watch their child suffer.REPORT COMMENTS

My mother is an CNA whom works in a nursing home. I have heard alot of diffrent stories of many, many people just waiting in nursing homes and hospitals for there time to die. I understand that God works on his own time and our time is diffrent from his. At the sametime I beleive that NO person should not have to suffer through life for any reason including a terminall illness in this world if they don't want to be here!
