Simply, prohibition is the incorrect way to protect people from anything.

alcohol=death & pain/marijuana=life & happiness. Now make this right for the people who would rather smoke & not die by being drunk drivers, maybe kill some others too whilst drinking & driving. Take a look at people overdosing on pain meds. This doesn't need to be. They would rather smoke & can't because of the most STUPID prohibition to EVER to exist.

As someone whom works in EMS, I've seen the damage from tobacco, alcohol, and other drugs. Yet, I have seen no such woes from Marijuana.

I was on 9 different prescriptions and today after starting marijuana (illegal in my state) I'm down to 2 prescriptions (3, counting marijuana). I'm happier and feel my symptoms are better than before marijuana.

I am a student in college who has a 4.0 after two years of schooling. I have smosked marijuana every single day for four years. Recently, I have been forced to quit smoking since I will have to pass an upcoming drug test. Since having to stop, my grades have declined and I am no longer a 4.0 student, as I no longer have the ability to have this release. Our levels system is a joke I am constantly seeing other become infatuated with cigarettes and alcohol, often resulting in their release from school. I wish I didn't have to say this, but we are living on the wrong side of history: marijuana should be legal, and our government is completely blind lo that.

I am a disabled veteran who fought for this country. It would be nice if the country would fight for us for a change! I refuse to take medication that the VA would have me take. Have you read the side effects of these medications? I want access to natural medicine! If you lock someone up for ingesting a plant that makes them happy, then you're the criminal in my eyes. The facts should be blatantly obvious at this point. Taxpayer money is being wasted on prison space for non violent offenders. Take a look at other countries with these systems in place and you will see that prohibition does not work! Sincerely, A Disgruntled Veteran

i also agree, there is no records of marijuana deaths, and the nation would bebifit from tax revenue from the sales of marijuana. Our jails fill up due to possesion of marijuana we go in debt trying to keep it illigal, Marijuana is a medicine for some and for others a please just as smoking tobacco that has been proven to cause cancer, or alcohol. wich is known to casue liver damange, and dui's as well as drinkng and drivng wich also causes wrecks, and sometimes death to innocent people. Marijuana is all natural 100 % a plant, thats has benificial buds. So really what is wrong with legalizing the use of marijuana nation wide. It also does NOT lead to other drugs. There is well known actresses/ actors, lawyers, and im sure people in congress that use marijuana for recreational use. open your eyes, and let it be legal, lessen crime, its not harmful to anyone .

Cannabis in any form should have never been prohibited. I don't see why citizens aren't more upset toward their government for lying about marijuana. It's listed as a schedule 1 drug. How? It's virtually harmless, with all kinds of benefits and properties that can be used to further humanity. An allegation stated by the government, ?Smoked marijuana leads to changes in the brain similar to those caused by the use of cocaine and heroin.? This is completely not true, and the evidence, not surprisingly, is no where to be found. So, basically I'm saying legalize it, or we'll just wait for the lying generation of the government to die, and some trusted people to take their place. :)

In a Free country, no plant should ever be illegal in it's natural form. At no time did I give my consent for the government to waste tax dollars enforcing archaic, misinformed and misguided laws against a natural plant. I am disgusted with our government on so many levels. Legalize it, take your profits loss and move on.
