Legalization would also bring down the number of underage users since it would be harder to get. Also, overall it might go down since thhe rebel feeling you get of breaking the law would no longer be there. It would be as "cool" to do it anymore. And obviously, the money it would bring in is UNBELIEVEABLE!! This is definately the right move.REPORT COMMENTS

Do the country -- nay, the world a favor and end this ridiculous prohibition of one of the most harmless drugs known to mankind. Renew my faith in you, my representatives (who I will otherwise be voting to kick out of office, almost to the man...)!REPORT COMMENTS

"The prestige of government has undoubtedly been lowered considerably by the prohibition law. For nothing is more destructive of respect for the government and the law of the land than passing laws which cannot be enforced. It is an open secret that the dangerous increase of crime in this country is closely connected with this." - Albert Einstein "The illegality of cannabis is outrageous, an impediment to full utilization of a drug which helps produce the serenity and insight, sensitivity and fellowship so desperately needed in this increasingly mad and dangerous world." - Carl Sagan "Why use up the forests which were centuries in the making and the mines which required ages to lay down, if we can get the equivalent of forest and mineral products in the annual growth of the hemp fields?" - Henry Ford "If the words "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" don't include the right to experiment with your own consciousness, then the Declaration of Independence isn't worth the hemp it was written on." - Terence McKenna "Hemp is of first necessity to the wealth & protection of the country." - Thomas Jefferson, U.S. President "Make the most you can of the Indian Hemp seed and sow it everywhere." - George Washington, U.S. PresidentREPORT COMMENTS

SOMETHING needs to be done about the deficit and legalization of marijuana would give a massive boost to revenues. It would also cut the profits of the Mexican cartels, which are a great bother to the Texan borders. Law enforcement needs to focus on drugs that are actually HARMFUL rather than busting innocent people and wasting money building prisons to throw them into. Just imagine the boosted revenues of Washington/Colorado multiplied by 25.REPORT COMMENTS

It would be an absolute relief to be able to smoke marijuana and not have to worry about catching a stupid charge for it. If you want to do something, you're gonna do it regardless of what the law says. Its more than obvious. Wanna get this country out of debt and fast? Legalize it. It will create revenue AND it will reduce government spending on the losing war on drugs and jailing for such a thing. Law enforcement should focus on getting the HARMFUL drugs off the streets and out of kid's hands. It would probably make people more peaceful and definitely send the food industry through the roof. Its just a good idea. Do it.REPORT COMMENTS
