Dear Senator, I Have been a police officer fight for justice from a wrongful termination from the Army after I reported police corruption and police supervisor use of cocaine and other safety violations. I filed a case with the MSPB, FLRA OSC and OPM which departments that should be reclassified and merged back into the Civil Service commission to replace a broken system. Police Officers are afraid to do their job and report bad police because the will end up unemployed like me. Please check out my MSBP Case DC 1221-14-1122-W-1. I am sure you we be surprised at the massive cover-up by the Army with the aid of the MSPB. BILL HR 1851 has been introduced by Rep Andre Carson of Indiana for FPS Officers. There is no difference between FPS Officers and Veterans Affairs Police Officers or any other Federal Police Officer. Not only that but you have non-uniformed, non-law enforcement related Bureau of Prisons personnel and even air traffic controllers that are considered a LEO but Veterans Affairs Police Officers, who are protecting those who served and the facilities they require, are not. This Bill or a new one such as the one submitted by Rep Carson, needs your support and/or your effort to correct this huge miscarriage of parity and recognition. I am thanking you in advance for your help in correcting this.REPORT COMMENTS

Veterans Affairs Police meet these standards. Most VA Police Officers are veterans ourselves. We protect life, property, investigate crimes and make apprehensions. We put ourselves in harms way daily by having to physically restrain some of our growing population of veterans returning from combat... Thus increasing the chances of bodily harm to VA Police Officers. VA Police needs your help to be included in LEO status.REPORT COMMENTS

Many people who don't perform duties, such as chemical inspectors for example, and management within agencies have the retirement FPS and the DoD police seek. I don't understand how so many have it that don't perform the duties that these officers do on a daily basis.REPORT COMMENTS
