I was a member of the United States Capitol Police for 8.5 years in a primary law enforcement position and left the Department as a Lieutenant to take a secondary position with the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC). After serving 23 years (total) the FLETC Human Capital Office informed me that the USCP did not qualify for LEO retirement due to a decision in the MSPB with another USCP officer. The MSPB case was precedent setting and when I filed, they informed me that they had already ruled on the case. I have been working for the past 8 years with Congressman Kingston and now Congressman Carter to remedy the situation.
