Marijuana has great benefits it helps with depression , anxiety and other medical conditions. I have been diagnosed with depression, bipolar , and PTSD from childhood traumas. Smoking marijuana helps my anger inside it also helps my depression I feel more alive and want to do things have family outtings with the kids. I know it would sound crazy but I feel like I'm a better mom when I smoke I'm more here and aware and my kids have said that I'm fun to be around because I feel better about myself and what's going on around me. Alcohol and cigarettes kill ppl marijuana ain't never killed anybody.REPORT COMMENTS

I've been suffering from pain for over 35 years with OA. I have been on NSAIDs almost all of that time. I now have stomach problems, severe ear ringing and a heart that skips beats and guess what I still have severe pain. A good day my pain might be a 7 or 8 and some days I can't function the pain is so intense. I will not use auto immune suppressing drugs because of all of the warnings that are for those types of drugs. I lost my son to ALS 2 years ago and my daughter has POTS disease which both are auto immune diseases. So no auto immune suppressing drugs for me. I would like stay alive and healthy so that I can guide my granddaughters thru life... a thing that I promised my son that I would do for him. He fought for our country in desert storm and came back from that mess and was diagnosed ALS. He suffered with it for 19 1/2 years before losing the battle in 2013. These last 2 years I have been very sad and blue for me but I'm trying to go on. Being one of his caregiver's all of those years I tried everything to make his pain and depression easier for him including trying to providing him Cannabis in his last months of his life. The VA would not give him any stronger pain meds because it would start to shut down some of his body functions but hinted that Cannabis might help him... so I did he is my son. I studied Cannabis for an year before giving it to him trying it on myself and guess what it works great for pain and depression. I ended up getting busted by the Kentucky State Police that was staking out a grow shop in Lexington and showed up at my house and took what I had, that was going to be for him. He died 3 months later, the saddest day of my life. I feel that Cannabis should controlled like alcohol and cigarettes and lets make it available to people in need. God put it here for us to use to keep us well and not suffer. Just picture in your mind a man that loved his kids laying in a bed almost 24/7 for 19 1/2 years having a machine breathing for him, a hole in his stomach to feed him, a person so suction out his lungs so that he does not drown on his saliva along with his lost of dignity having someone to help him with all of his other body functions. If he had Cannabis, it would have made his journey with ALS so much easier.REPORT COMMENTS

We need this now!! It is a job creator and a means to help decrease jail and prison population for such a small insignificant thing. It will save the taxpayers money so it can be used for other things than housing non violent peaceful "criminals" and also create more tax revenue and an economy boom of more people getting extra money and spending it on things like cars, boats, motorcycles, etc. which they will then have to pay property tax on. It's a WIN WIN WIN for everyone!!! Join the next generation of Americans and lets get this done now! I am a conservative and I guess this is the one thing I disagree with Republicans and Conservatives on and agree with the Demoncrats... Oops Democrats.REPORT COMMENTS

You can't understand chronic pain unless you've experienced it. Imagine losing your ability to function in any normal capacity because it hurts too bad to do the simplest of task. You lose your dignity as you are forced to stop working at a career that you love to do. You may, as I did, find yourself being forced to be pushed in a wheelchair because walking is agony. You feel shame and despair. You are no longer "Normal". You lose the ability to do the simple things that give you pleasure such as gardening, exercising or picking up your child or grandchild for a hug. Chronic pain never goes away. It becomes part of you. In the end as it progresses it becomes the essence of you. On a good day I may not mention my pain at all even though in a 1 to 10 scale it is never less than a 6 unmediated. It's just there. If I mention the pain it has reached a 10. My children can barely remember the outdoorsy, playful, athletic mother that raised them and my grandchildren may never get to meet her. My husband has lost his companion and I have lost the ability to be who I am at heart and who I was before the disease took over. I don't think it fair for people who haven't experienced chronic pain or watched someone live with it make decisions on what could possibly help those suffering unless they have empathy instead of preconceived notions and disdain. I hate taking any pain medicine but as much as I hate it, I hate pain more. I want the chance to not have narcotics flowing through my liver and kidney's. I never thought that I, as a conservative Christian, would have this view. I also didn't think that I would be in total agony for most of my life. I believe in strong regulations on this medication as any other narcotic. I'm speaking out because thousands are suffering needlessly when all they want is a chance at life and a chance to choose with their physician what is best for them. Please give the people that are truly suffering a chance at life. When you are in the grip of chronic neuropathic pain you will try anything with promise to make it stop. Please see it from the eyes of those who are suffering. www.amazon.com/gp/seREPORT COMMENTS

It is impossible to abuse marijuana as it is not physically addictive and has killed not one single person. I need it for stress, depression, fatique, anxiety, pain and for my conditions. Different strains do different things and laughing sfrains with no side effects or a bint of them which are out there would meet my medical and recreational needs.REPORT COMMENTS
