Keep the NSF Political Science Program
Sen. Coburn (R-OK) has proposed an amendment to eliminate NSF's political science program. It is an amendment to the Senate Commerce, Justice, Science appropriations bill, which is currently on the Senate floor.
Dear Senator,
I am writing to implore you to block the Coburn Amendment 2631 to H.R. 2847, which will eliminate the National Science Foundation's program for political science research. As your constituent, I find this proposal completely without cause, and against the spirit of the NSF.
The NSF political science program provides essential funding for cutting edge social science research, and has provided numerous opportunities for universities, faculty and students. Without this funding many current research programs would cease, and would account for countless lost opportunities.
Again, please do all you can to block the Coburn Amendment 2631 to H.R. 2847.
