The current builder of the Kiowa's Mast Mounted Site (MMS), is already upgrading and adding new capability to this sighting system. This would allow the Kiowa to have increased capability, along with a reduction in weight at a fraction of the cost of deploying a new system. It would also help keep people employed that have been supporting this system since 1985. Don't take this valuable aircraft away from the Army and National Guard. Keep the Kiowa! -

The Guard needs to keep their helicopters in order to rotate out with the Active Duty units. If the AD takes all the helicopters then in a long war they will be worn thin as there will be no one to replace them.REPORT COMMENTS

The Utah National Guard deserves to keep ALL of their helicopters! The Kiowa is agile, efficient, and a godsend for our troops!REPORT COMMENTS

I have been on the support end of a system for the kiowa for 28 years. The kiowa has the highest readiness rate in the upper 90%. how do you tell your ground troups to wait for support from an apache, when a kiowa can be ready in half the time, better on fuel and can get down where the troups need them for support. How can the Army say that a modernized Kiowa fleet was worth investing $1.5 billion in 2012, but that it?s no longer worth it in 2014? Keep the Kiowa !REPORT COMMENTS
