There is no reason to take from the Guard. We already have to beg borrow and steal to do our jobs. Time for Active Duty to admit that they cant do the job as good as their "part time" brothers and sisters.

Is this the precurser to the suspension of our US Constitution and martial law for all Americans? Is this beginning, of the overthrow of our once sovreign nation? Is this the "Fundamental Transformation" of America? Is this Agenda 21?

The cheapest aircraft for the U.S. Army to operate (single-engine TH-67) is being replaced with a a twin-engine, advanced airframe (UH-72) costing at least 2X more to fly and maintain. This is the Army's plan to train inexperienced flight students, fresh off the street. The National Guard also operates and maintains a Company of AH-64 Apaches at 1/3 the Big Army cost. Active duty rationale at it's finest. Contact your government representatives and support H.R. 3930, a bill that would establish a National Commission on the Structure of the Army, to take an objective look at this issue and not just Big Army's word for it.

Pure and simple--these Apache helicopers may be necessary to defend ourselves against a marshal law takeover. Fight for the National Guard right to have them.

Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, Food Stamps and other handouts make up 65% of the federal budget; yet the DoD and the White House seem to believe that thinning the National Guard is going to save money? How about get rid of 40% of the active component and beef up the National Guard at 1/3 the cost? Oh wait, that would be sane and logical. I am a combat veteran and I see this for what it is; unconstitutional, unethical, and dangerous. You see folks, Mr. Obama is pushing hard to take not just the Apaches, but ALL combat power out of the state National Guards and put them into the active Army. Why? Because currently the governors control the National Guard, not the president. However, guess who controls the active component? You got it, Mr. Obama. The centralization of all combat power will soon be under the direct control of the president, not the governors; and that my friends is not a recipe for freedom, it is a recipe for total federal control of the Armed Forces. In southeast Asia we called this "bad karma". Cut bums on food stamps and subsidies, not the men defending our freedom.
