A suggestion for trails relating to animal abuse: Let them be seperate from other crimes. An examle is the drug courts. This way the animal abuse cases won't clog up an already clogged up court system. And dogs won't have to be in confinement for months on end till they get their day. Each state can have one. Please help bring justice to Halfton. By charging his abuser with a felony, you will be showing everyone that animal cruelty is not something to be taken lightly and IS a crime, punishable by law. Let's stop these kinds of heinous crimes from happening again! Let's send the message to the people that this is NOT okay! Any person who would harm an animal and not suffer any kind of consequences will continue to harm animals, and are more likely to commit violent crimes against other people.
