I am in Illinois and I thought this Obamacare was SUPPOSED to be "affordable". For this year 2017, affordable healthcare will be costing my family of three 16,005.94 and I cannot claim any of it for taxes because it is pre-taxed through my employer!!! How much would it be if it was not pre-taxed? That yearly amount is WAY over 10% of our household income and none of us even use out insurance!!! That is was really aggravates us! My last paycheck showed that I am paying more for pre-taxed health insurance than Uncle Sam takes out for tax deductions. This is absolutely RIDICULOUS and robbery !!! Healthcare is too expensive in the US. But the way to fix it is to restore healthy competiition in that industry, not make it even more expensive by another tax and spend policy like the Affordabe Care Act does. The ACA fakes success by declaring how many more people are "covered", when really, thousands of hard working middle-class families are facing increased premiums and staggering deductibles. That's not "covereed". Furthermore, others are facing fines in addition, which is also not "affordable." Additionally, the ACA innapropriately lumps additional tax burden on the very wage earners who have already shouldered the highest tax rates all-along before ACA. The ACA is not a solution at all. It is a tax and spend plan that kicks the real problem down the road, fakes success and innapripriately hurts the middle class and the most prolific wage earners. It also continues the pattern of a rigged system where pharmaceutical and insurance companies continue with their bloat and price fixing. The Republicans are making excuses about repeal and replace. At least repeal the tax penalty while a replacement plan is formulated. It was unanimous that the ACA plan was bad legislation and we voted these candidates in on their promises to repeal - so leaving the tax penalty in place shows dishonesty and lack of credibility.
