I am outraged at the implementation of the FAA?s NextGen program that is building an unprecedented network of aviation superhighways over Nassau Cty. Once quiet neighborhoods are being destroyed by the FAA?s consolidation of thousands of low-flying, noisy jets overhead. Acting unilaterally and with complete disregard for community engagement, the FAA has prioritized the profits of big business airlines over citizens on the ground. And worse, they have intentionally misled Congress and the American public that NextGen would have ?no significant impact.? The reality is NextGen is robbing us of the enjoyment of our homes and communities, We pay HIGH taxes here on Long Island and our quality of life is severely impacted by low flying planes 15, 20, even 30+ miles from the airport.REPORT COMMENTS

The NextGen "highways in the sky" are causing abject misery for hundreds of thousands of people across the country. The NextGen design was an egregious mistake, and the deliberate way in which the FAA misled Congress about these changes having "no significant impact" was criminal. In my opinion, this relentless torturing of the country's citizens could actually constitute a crime against humanity. PLEASE roll these changes back.REPORT COMMENTS

I grew up in Lawrence, NY where we had planes flying at low altitudes as they approached JFK and LGA. Today living in Roslyn Heights it seems the planes are even lower than Lawrence which considering its location doesn't make any sense. I understand that planes need to land and at some point need to be at low altitude but I'm confident that there's an alternate route that can be taken as to minimize this distribution for the least amount of neighborhoods. Thank you.REPORT COMMENTS

The planes fly so low you could almost see passnger faces! My 2 year old got super scared of the in-coming plane that she ran and when the plane passed over her head, she fell to the ground, most likely feeling as if it was coming at her!REPORT COMMENTS
