Concentrated flight paths puts airline profits ahead of quality of life issues for people living in the vicinity of airports. Please find a more equitable solution to the RNAV problem.May 28th, 2017Mary D. from Milton, MA writes:
This RNAV technology is ruining the quality of life for tax paying citizens across the country. It's must stop and can stop. The question is, will congress make it stop?REPORT COMMENTS

The FAA needs to be reformed. It's primary mission should be the health and safety of ALL the public - in and out of planes. Air traffic must follow that mission so that noise and air pollution are a primary consideration in managing traffic. If Europe can do it so can the United States.REPORT COMMENTS

The FAA designated helicopter route, the North Shore Route, on Long Island has destroyed the quality of life of thousands of Long Island residents from NYC to East Hampton. And there is no need for any of it. This is private, short-haul, low-altitude aviation, for the travel convenience of a handful of wealthy people. The noise and air pollution from their journeys is destroying our lives, our environment and threatening our health, our waterways, our wildlife.REPORT COMMENTS

NextGen has put airplane noise into my house. At times the planes fly the same route a dozen in a row. As they fly slowly, the noise of each lingers until the next one appears. Degrading my homeowner experience for this new flight pattern is unacceptable.REPORT COMMENTS

Low flying concentrated air traffic in a narrow space is simply not necessary, and in the end will slowly destroy the people underneath the flight path. - Their mental health and physical health- the FAA and airlines might as well take a gun to those people. The airlines are only about the stockholders and profit - someone needs to stand up for the ordinary citizen.REPORT COMMENTS

The tightening of the pattern from nextgen means there is a plane over my house every minute from pretty much dawn until 1am. This is just ridiculous. You're ruining these communities. Without dispersing the traffic or bringing it in over less populated areas (like I-5), you're going to be getting a deafening amount of backlash from communities in the nextgen flight path.REPORT COMMENTS

NextGen flight patterns make airplane fly too low, too loud and too frequently over residential neighborhoods in a very concentrated area. There is no need to torture and murder the residents when you can spread the flight patterns out and no one area is getting constantly driven insane by the noise. NextGen is a machete machine gun.REPORT COMMENTS

Communities across America are tormented and abused by the implementation of NextGen by the FAA. They received hundreds of thousands of complaints but still refuse to address the issue with the public. The false narrative they continue to deliver is that we are not experiencing any impact. Our health and quality of our lives are at stake. A solution is available to the FAA but they refuse to make any compromise. We cannot suffer for the profits of the airline industry.REPORT COMMENTS

SeaTac airports growth and full implementation of NextGen has made life unbearable for residents of Des Moines, WA. The continuous low flying aircrafts, late night cargo flights, expanding international flights in and out of SeaTac International are negatively impacting our quality of life. These aircraft are constant and one after the next flying low above our homes. Something needs to change. All day long. We are awakened by old cargo planes taking off in the middle of the night. Not to mention the fact that I'm concerned about the health implications that have been identified by the medical community associated with the toxic particles from the aviation emissions.REPORT COMMENTS
