Halt Payments to the Senate and House of Representatives
Congress has failed to see urgency caused by the Covid-19 pandemic and have left the American citizens to fend for themselves! I call this petition forth, to enlighten Congress, to the impact the pandemic has caused to the wealth and prosperity of my fellow American citizens by halting payments to all Congress members who hold seats in the House of Representatives and Senate. Many Americans have or were forced to stop working and go on unemployment, many for the first time, many a second time,that prayed it never would happen again and now they are pummeled by debt and are behind in rent. Congress has repeatedly smacked American workers who pay taxes in the face by offering two stimulus bills that offer scraps to the citizens while funding armies overseas and bailouts for corporations in the world's most wealthy nation, while every other developed nation has passed monthly stimulus to help their citizens in this desperate time. If Congress truly had the American citizens in mind those would be stand alone bill's without amendments that have nothing to do with relief for American citizens from Republicans and Democrats.
