The United Stated Constitution does not banned any US citizen from their Civil Rights after a non-violent felony conviction, nor does it state that our civil rights are privileges given to the citizens of this great country of America, we are born with this rights as US citizens. The US Constitution does not give authorization to the right of any state or body government to disband its citizens from born rights after a felony conviction. I did the crime and paid with time, let?s move forward now!REPORT COMMENTS

I am a major in Law because I don't take "No" for an answer. I am a very loving full time father and very responsible person in general. I had my past, did my time, paid my fines, I believe I can be a beneficial member of society if I'm not labeled as a worthless "POS" anymore. The government really limits their resources by convicting people and punishing them for lifetimes. Many convicts are screwups that deserve to be locked up. Then you have those of us with a TON of potential that can't spread our wings so-to-speak to the fullest because the govt. doesn't want our help in law enforcement or the military etc.REPORT COMMENTS

People who have committed crimes and are trying to get there lives back need a chance to do so. Making it hard for people make them turn back to crime to survive. The only way to have a productive society is to make sure its citizens are encouraged to do so. We are trying to make life better not harder. Please give people who want to do right a chance.REPORT COMMENTS

Please pass this bill, when a person commits a crime and serves their time why are they still being punished? Apartments require a convict to be 5 years from final date to rent an apartment this is bull! Quit punishing them long after their sentence has been completed!REPORT COMMENTS

People wonder why there is so much crime. People make a mistake, serve their time, get out and can't get a job or a place to live anywhere. They are basically forced back into crime, like selling drugs so they can make money. The system is SO messed up, and it NEEDS TO BE CHANGED!!!!!!!!REPORT COMMENTS
