I totally support second chances for lifers especially those who are making serious effort to change, considering the fact that some prison don`t offer rehabilitation, i also think the rules are bias in such hostile environment.Jul 15th, 2016Someone from Lemoore, CA writes:

I would like to express my part on the behalf of Anthony Thomas gdc 474921 ef#260950.I do believe Anthony do have remorse on behalf of the victims family. He deserves a second chance in life God forgives us of our sins so we got to forgive and still love one another .We've had someone to murder a loved one but our family conversate with that person and forgave them. The parole board always set off withb the same Ga. code because they know that doesn't be the reason yo set back.We ask that you have mercy and give Anthony a second chance. Some people learn from their mistakes and don't be a repeated offender.I will do everything in my will power to lead him through the right path if you give him another chance.REPORT COMMENTS

The Georgia Probation and Parole Board has become too comfortable with issuing the same generic form letter to inmates with life sentences with the possibility of parole. My husband has served 21 years of a life sentence with the possibility of parole. He has been up for parole three times and each time he has received the same form letter. He has taken all the recommended classes and some more ? He has to date during his 21 years of incarceration 6 disciplinary reports. His past life wasn?t perfect and he had to pay for the crime he committed. I truly believe that my husband and others in the same position truly seeks fairness within the Georgia Parole System. There is no logical reason to their release system. Are they truly reviewing each inmates file when they come up for review? How can an inmate with a double murder in the same case come up for parole and make parole after serving only 16 years on that charge and you have inmates with one murder charge and have served 20 plus years on that charge being denied and set off for three plus or more years? The needs to be a more uniformed system for paroling inmates within the Georgia Probation and Parole Board system.REPORT COMMENTS

Mr. Anthony Thomas has change and do not want to live that same life anymore, I am willing to help him, by giving him the support, a place to stay, and helping him find employment, and also let him use my car so he will be able to give back to society. He has been rehabilitated and deserves another chance at showing how he has change for the better. During his incarceration Mr. Anthony Thomas GDC # 474921 EF # 260950 has done many things to improve himself. He has further his education he has been willing, and through his incarceration he has come from a misdirected teenager to a very together, well rounded, and very responsible individual. He has worked diligently on making mature and level headed decisions when dealing with daily stress and I know he is committed to himself and his family the will to become a productive law abiding member of society. Most important, he has learned how his actions were and vows to never harm another. I am a retiree from MARTA Transit System here in Atlanta, Ga., and I?m an honor roll student in College at University Of Phoenix, from which I will soon have my associate degree by February of 2017. I believe that my work experience and being in College will help him to maintain a healthy, happy, successful family life upon his release from prison. He is an inspiration to gives me hope to want to live. I have a place for him to live that will provide him with the means to start the next step in his life a little easier. I have and know places that will offer him employment. Now Mr. Anthony Thomas children are adults and he is a happy grandfather. He has a supportive group of family and friends that remained even through his incarceration. We have supported him throughout his incarceration and have pledged to continue his support upon parole.
