My fiance has served 22 years on a life sentence. He has taken many classes and reads self-help books I send him. He has asked God for forgiveness and his victims family has forgiven him. He never even got a first chance with the way he was raised. He at least deserves a chance now to prove himself.

Someone who committed a crime at the age of 19 and now is 43 should be given a chance to prove they can be a model citizen in society. What more can be done serving time in prison if the person has completed all necessary programs and is a model inmate? The state of Georgia has guidelines to follow when taking a parole case into consideration. The question is do they really follow those guidelines or is it passed along with a denial stamp?

My husband has been in prison almost 20 years on a life sentence given in 1997. He has never been taken before the parole board but was given a reconsideration date in 2013 for November 2017. He deserves another chance at freedom. He HAS been rehabilitated. He has paid his debt to society and deserves the chance to prove hisself. He should be granted parole immediately and released!

I feel as though an inmate should have the opportunity to be paroled from a life sentence if he has completed all of the requirements given by law. Families suffer without their loved one. If an inmate has spent so much of their time in prison and has proven that they can be productive in the system they should be given the opportunity to be productive in the out side world with that much time in they are very likely to stay out of the system for good. Hoping and praying that congress passes the law to parole some lifers.

The state of pa does not have years which would indicate life sentences for instance normal life is 25 years. the laws are trying to be god and trying to say these people are worthless yet want them to attend programs better themselves for what. they dont even get a second chance some states give you 3 strikes not pa they only care about money and the families are going down because our men are in jail and causing our young men to follow in thier foot steps

Pay heed to all incarcerated illegal immigrants that been locked up since they were minors ....they should be afforded the chance to go back to their countries and serve their time over there...this will save us taxpayer a lot of money that could be put to education...

I totally agree ...when at a young age I think we have all made mistakes...some worst than others.. nevertheless these mistakes were made because we didn't understand in all truthfulness the consequences for our actions....there are men in prison who been put away since their adolece years and if they were to to that the consequences for theic actions were gonna cause so much pain to the victims family and their own the would of never chosen to do what they did....they are ready to show society that they have grown up to be men and they would give anything to get a second chance...it shouldn't take 20 or 25 years to be given a second chance it should be 10 to 15 years period ...u want them to rehabilitate not to become institutinalized.....free all juvenile lifers ....the wil not screw up again....lets remember how it used to be 30 years ago when juveniles were sent to CYA and after they turn 25 years old they would be given a second chance...this should of never changed in the first place ...and I agree that if this method did not appear to work all they should of done was raise the sentence by 5years instead of getting released at their 25th birthday move it to their 30th years birthday MAX...lets get together sons, daughters ,brothers , and sisters,,mothers and fathers, and wife's to all our loved ones incarcerated in prison since their youth lets negotiate with the Senate and bring forward ideas like this lets work together as one ...give these juvenile offenders a meaningful second chance...march for rehabilitation not intitutionalism.!!!!

I agree lifers deserve a second chance. They made a mistake and funny thing is the enhancements are what give more time. Its better to just do the time. My dear friend is has completed his time that was 9 years for his base term and for having a gun it gave him 25-life with this whole prop 57 he will be able to get credits but my question is how are they applied? He made a mistake and is now paying life? That's not rehab that is just putting someone in hole and throwing the key away. Might I add with no hope for release why would you expect them to behave?

Let it be known that i do not accept bad behavior, or do i reward it, but clearly our jails are over crowded at not all inmates receive the adaquate attention need to be rehabiliitated for example i am writing the comment on behalf of my daughters father, he wrote me for the fist time in years asking me to look into his case. Now being the snoop that i am i myself have some questions about his case. He was convicted in 2006 on drug related charges and was given a life sentence, my first thought was do the crime do the time, then i was told by others that he should have not asked for a jury trial if he was guilty, well after getting his letter and listening to his concerns, i had to question myself, there must be some doubt to his charges if he wanted a jury of his peers to hear his case, when he should have just pleaded guilty and not risk a jury giving him a life sentence, my stance on this we are all human and made of flesh yes we will sin but for the love of god, don't throw the baby out with the bath water, we live in the United States Of American, if this man can right me a letter from prison asking me to take a look at his case, my question is why no one else has, not only for Mr. Timothy Woulard, but for all the other inmates that are serving a life sentence, what have we accomplished if we keep this up, Nothing, and to whom ever read my rant. Please lead me in the right direction, I just want closure so i can give him closure, I have nothing to gain but the truth.

Hello I am writing in regards to Mustafa Savior 1142271,my brother was up for parole after serving the minimum 14 years that the judge told him he had to serve on a life sentence, yet he has not made parole. I believe my brother has atoned for his crime and should be allowed his parole date so he can rejoin society as a law abiding citizen.

I am writing in regards to Mustafa Savior 1142271,a prisoner in Georgia. Being a former employer for the Georgia department of corrections, i must say that in the beginning I did not know inmate Savior. But after inquiring what he was locked up for and actually reading up on his case through Georgia's freedom of information act; I begin to know him trust him and have love for him as a strong minded, free willed, compassionate young black man that got caught up in the wrong crowd. Muatafa has demonstrated his will to be free, his eager to be an atone father to his son, and his drive to be a sound moderate citizen. And with that being said, I pray Allah grants him his parole.

Yes I agree lifers are not being given a second chance here and strongly believe they should. A big percentage of lifers with the possibilities were juniviles when they comited there crime and feel if given the chance to have freedom out here again believe they will be law biding citizens..

I am writing in regards to Mustafa Savior 1142271a very close friend of mines that is serving a life sentence here in the state of Georgia, and is currently up for parole. Being that i have a degree in criminal Justice and worked for C.C.M.P.D.i do understand that the criminal Justice system here I'm America has the responsibility of making sure that our community is safe by utilizing the programs that are put in place to rehabilitate, deter, and even incapacitate the people on its society that break the law or do not exercise rational behavior when faced with decisions that not only affect them but also others with in this community. And it upsets me to see how some have neglected to do what they ate prayed and or elected to do when it comes to CRIMINAL JUSTICE and it's policies. My question to congress, society, and parole board members is, HOW MUCH TIME do one man has to do before he is actually rehabilitated??? Free Mustafa Savior, because we all make mistakes and deserve a second Chance at Life...
