The physical and psychological pain of herpes is far more devastating than you can imagine if you have not been diagnosed with this horrible virus. It literally ruins marriages if diagnosed genitally. Children are being born with this virus because many infected mothers do not know they carry the virus. This then leads to blindness, not to forget this virus is the number one cause of blindness world-wide. Antiviral medications do no justice to those who are infected. Why? Because the virus is resistant to these lame medications especially ocular herpes. It has been linked to Alzheimer's which countless amount of American citizen dollars are being used to treat this debilitating disease. The association between genital herpes and HIV is sickening. Herpes is DEADLY and why is it that we are not investing into this virus more closely? There is a cycle here. Maybe if congress puts more money into finding a cure or a way to completely inactivate herpes then we can see a huge decline in all these other serious illnesses that are linked to herpes, mainly HSV1 and 2. I am an educated individual who pays a large portion of my income in taxes. Not to forget I donate to many organizations and researches. This virus is a nightmare and if congress wants find a better treatment for Alzheimer's than you need to start investing money into the causes of Alzheimer's. Dr. Itzhaki a neurobiologist has spent over two decades in studying Alzheimer's and herpes. There is clear evidence that HSV1 is linked to Alzheimer's when genetic factors are present. Instead her research has been ignored. Matter of fact if you have HSV1 and the genetic factor for Alzheimer's (which many of us do) then you are 15xs more likely to be diagnosed with Alzheimer's. If my tax dollars can be sent to other countries in time of need then I would greatly appreciated my hard earned tax dollars be spent right here in the country I call home aka America. Curing herpes is finally possible with the use of modern technology and more. It is NOT impossible to stop this ugly, humiliating, depressing, painful virus. Together we can change millions of lives. It's up to congress initiate the cure. Researchers strongly believe they can stop this virus all together. Now, we need our tax dollars to be spent on an epidemic that has claimed home to too many innocent individuals. It's time for a real change.REPORT COMMENTS

I have reached out to the scientific community on this topic. Some believe that Bavituximab will not clear latent infection of HSV. Yet, they don?t know for sure. A small study is all it takes to prove whether this drug will work to clear the virus. I have even been told that a kit is available for such testing. Getting a hold of neurons is the hard part.
