Sickening that we even have to beg for this. What is the matter Progressive/communist afraid if there are any horses left we can still do something like travel and ride where we want? You are a bunch of disgraceful people for the most part that has lied to us and not done what we put you in office to do so why not do something decent for a change.REPORT COMMENTS

Please, please save these horses do not rid of them. They are one of the only pieces from our past history which is still surviving. In every possible way we, as a nation, need to stand firm and protect all of these horses. As far as laws, regulations, and society has come, it would be heartbreaking to know that there is no protection for God's creatures.REPORT COMMENTS

Anyone to include the government should be so ashamed of themselves for being barbaric idiots! Killing helpless innocent horses! They have been around much longer than us and we have taken over their property!REPORT COMMENTS

PLEASE put a HAULT to any further action to remove these Horses, they belong there. It would be a travesty to allow pro-horse slaughter individuals to profit by gaining access to even one horse from this historic herd to sell to Mexican slaughter plants. They are both irreplaceable and worth so very much more than their price per pound. Creating a sanctuary for them with responsible herd management and birth control protocols is the only solution.REPORT COMMENTS

This is a huge public national park that does not belong to the army. They should not be allowed to kill or move horses without even trying to keep them on the public's land. These horses received their freedom after WWII by way of the army to be protected ever more as wild horses. There is plenty of evidence to support that claim. The new general and the one before him do not have the right to even suggest that they are allowed to touch horses in a national park that have long been under the wild horse act protection because the army and government agreed to that almost 200 years ago! These horses can be managed to limit the population without removing a single horse. The army also claims to have tried everything to keep them off property but they have never fenced the entire area as they should have considering it's supposed to be a secure base. Nor have they tried using electric fence wiring to deter the houses from even approaching. As someone with a lifetime of horse experience I can tell you that livestock grade electric fences work and work well.REPORT COMMENTS

Would the United States military even exist without the contributions of horses? Some gratitude and thoughtfulness is certainly due. Please reconsider with solutions that respect their service. Thank you.REPORT COMMENTS
