I am overwhelmed in student debt with this fake college. They have threatened to garnish my wages if I don't repay money that I borrowed. Had they not lied to me about the opportunities I would have I wouldn't have a problem paying back. But instead I am stuck with debt with a useless degree, debt, and a harassing emails and phone calls. They do not teach you anything. It's just a mass of people giving opinions about topics that have no meaning in the working field. This school has really turned my life around for the worst.

I went to UoP in Puerto Rico. They told me that I would find job in the field cause it was in high demand. They even offered me an internship , but when I went to ask for details, they left me on my own. They are full of lies. Now, I have $92,000 in debt and a job that has nothing to do with my "education". It's not fair.

This school is a joke. I went to them expecting to get a great education and head off straight away to a job but that did not happen. I'm a single mom and I have 90,000 is debt. I keep putting it off and it just keeps building. I believe I was ripped off and scammed. Not sure what to do anymore or how to get help or fix this. So disappointed.

How many signatures do we need to end this nightmare with UOP? They lied to get is in, they didn't help with employment, they sold the loans to people who are nasty. I want their name off my credit report.

When I finished my Associates through Axia the counselor put me right in to the Bachelors program. They were full aware I was not working and depended on my student loans to cover the costs. My counselor assured me that financial aid would fully cover the cost. Half way through the program and before I started my next semester, I received a statement for the cost of the course. When I called I was told that my courses would not be covered because the financial aid for the year had been used for my prior courses and I would have to pay the rest out of pocket. I withdrew a month before classes started that October and waited till the new year to enroll in another school which I did. Two semesters in to the new school courses, I was informed that my school loans had been defaulted due to balance due to University of Phoenix for classes I had withdrawn from. Needless to say they completed screwed my ability to finish my Bachelors degree and I refuse to pay for something that I am not obligated to. Buyer Beware, avoid University of Phoenix.

When I was discharging from the Army back in 2009 I was contacted by a UOP recruiter. I was young, had just found out I was pregnant, and was in recovery from injuries sustained on active duty. UOP seemed like a great option. Long story short, I obtained both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees through UOP. From 2009-2015 I was in school and my counselors just sent me paperwork all the time and told me they were depositing leftover funds to me, and I honestly didn’t ever realize what was truly going on (until it was too late). Well here I am 9 years later, a working, single mother, with almost $90,000 of debt. I can’t get a house, I can’t get a car, and I can’t get any type of credit. It seems hopeless. I have a 70% VA disability rating. I have been fully defrauded and taken advantage of by the University of Phoenix. OH! Not to mention, nobody has ever respected or honored my degrees. I have not been able to find a single decent paying job in my field of study or anything even remotely associated. I have been tirelessly searching for some sort of a forgiveness program but I am losing hope. I have heard the horror stories about defaulting on student loans, paying for your entire life, and never being able to obtain any property or anything all the while....

This place is seriously a joke. When my husband and I first decided to go here it seemed perfect, we were completely sold on everything. Clearly the people who work there know how to butter you up. My husband decided to give up in the early stages because they were giving him a hard time with financial aid but I decided to go through with everything. I was told MULTIPLE TIMES that I had a brief time period where I could try everything out, free of charge. I decided during that period that this wasn’t the right school for me and withdrew immediately. Everything seemed dandy until I got a letter in the mail saying I owed them close to $400! At the time I wasn’t working so my husband was the only one bringing in income. I called the school mutliple times and they belittled me and practically said I was lying. Somehow I still owe them money through student loans and this additional $400 which I can’t seem to get fixed. This is just ridiculous. How can you advertise something and than act like it never happened?!

This is so sad that employees look at UOP and laugh. I attended UOP from September 2008 to January 2012 with an Associate's and a Bachelor's of Science degree and have not received a job. I also received quite a debt and for what? I knew something financially was wrong. I want compensation or loan forgiveness.

I have over 50k in debt!! 2 classes left to pay out of pocket and a partial degree that means nothing according to some hiring establishments. Worse thing is, as a single mother this has affected my debt to income ratio often leaving me unable to quality for anything! Please congress do something about this!

I had completed my associates and was almost through with my batchlors when my financial advisor told me that there would not be enough funding for me to reach my goal. I was crushed I now have all this debt and will never be a teacher. If I had known I would have never gotten into such debt.

Here I am $50K Plus in Debt after completing my BS in Human Service Management, I live in Wisconsin and I see by searching that ALOT of Graduates in my state have the same problem....After Graduation they are unable to take the State Exam to become a Licensed Social Worker even though my entire time and working with what seems to be a different student advisor all the time, they were aware what I wanted to Achieve and told me that I would be able to utilize this Degree to take my State Exam.........WELL I went to sign up for my Exam and come to find out UOP is not accredited in Wisconsin for me to take the Exam so all those years and a boat load of FEDERAL LOANS (FRAUD) I sit with a worthless piece of paper and a ton of student debt that I cannot afford...... I see what I assume is a Past Student is Sueing UOP in the Eastern District of Wisconsin Federal Court, not sure what the case is about but I'm sure it is about what we are all here for, being SCAMMED, So I personally am writing a letter to the Students Attorney Listed on the lawsuit along with the Federal Judge telling my Story........Take a look at the case...The Government does not seem to be doing anything about this so its about time we all bond together and get heard and get this Scamming Institution Shut down or no longer be able to accept Federal Funds.

I am a UOP graduate! I am over $100,000 in debt due to student loans through this for profit school. I havent found a job since graduating in March of 2017 in a field that requires my degree as to the fact I have no background. They required no proof as to whether I graduated high school or of a GED. Nothing! I had issue where I was told at the end of my Bachelors just before graduating there wasn't enough money in my student account to cover the cost of my last class; which was bull because I took out enough to cover all classes at that time were 1800 +per class. Then as moved to my Master's of Science it went over 2000 per class. No middle class citizen can afford to pay the Loans at the cost of it. UOP students should be forgiven on their loan debts. By a staggering 3/4 of what the for profit college charged. If not all of it. I have 3 useless pieces of paper that have put me so far in debt I will never be able to recoupe.

$32,000 in debt for a useless degree from a 'school' that has long since been exposed, a 'school' that EVERYONE at this point knows is fraudulent and predatory. I was duped into enrolling in this school when I was a naive, uninformed 18-year-old, I'm now almost 30 and still have this debt on my back. University of Phoenix is the biggest for-profit scam in this country, they should be shut down and the victims of this company should finally granted relief from the debt they were suckered into.

I am now in over $100,000 in student loan debt and don't have a degree. I failed my last class which was supposed to be an accounting class. I never did one bit of accounting even though I was going for an accounting degree, how much sense did that make? I have also been told by prospective employers that even if I did get my degree that I wouldn't be hired with a degree from University of Phoenix, I may add well not have wasted my time or money. WTH, now what, I can't even afford to get my degree from anywhere else.
