22,000 in debt. Was pregnant with my 1st and only child that was diagnosed with both Trismy 18 and a congenital diaphragmatic hernia and told that she would die. Not an easy thing to battle with emotionally or mentally so I had to drop out. They refused to allow me a leave and kept taking money and grants for my next courses and then harassed me even through Facebook to return to school etc. I can't seem to get relief because in short... my daughter did die! She was born 9 years ago January 24tj and died April 9th. 76 days of life in a hospital filled with narcotics and jabbed and used for science. She died in my arms because of a feeding tube placed in her lung at her bedside by an overnight nurse that I I'd previously removed from my daughter care. Died 2 days before her discharge!!!! Can you say PTSD and major depressive disorder????!!! I am a real mess since her birth and passing and the damn government won't listen to why university of Phoenix should pay them for an education I did not sit in on!!!! -

UOP is a complete joke. There not nationally accredited, they state their degrees are valid which nobody honors their degrees there as useless as the paper there printed on. I was going for accounting and they told me they had a fast track program which you can get 4 yr degree in 3 years and 3yr degree in 2 yrs. What they dont tell you to get accredited to be a CPA you ahve to have a certain amount of hours. So i would haver to take there crappy degree and attentd another school which doesnt accept all of there courses and get more student loans just for a asosicate degree. Soemone tell me how i dont even have an associate degree from them im 6 hours short but i owe $30k like i went to a 4 yr college?? They are fraudulent and stealing money from the govetnment. I can prove it as i was submitting blank docuyments and getting perfect scores for assignements and i can provie it. They are lying and stealing from the government and students and its a shame they already been found guilty of fraud when i attented and theior still allowed to receive goiverments funds. If my defense application is denied i will fully sue the school, the department of education and the loan servicer.REPORT COMMENTS

You are all 100% correct. They are fraudulent. I was told they were an accredited school (lie) and that I could get my associates degree through them then transfer my credits to any other accredited school (lie). This reason was because they did not have the program I wanted so they pushed me into a similar one promising me it would be easier this way and I would be GUARANTEED (another lowlife lie) to get into a local university that has the bachelor program I wanted. So yeah false advertising, blatant lies, hard selling education, and bullying persuasion techniques on a single mom, working a full time job at the same time, and now swallowed up in debt. And I actually graduated and attempted to do what they said I WOULD be able to do... to just be laughed at and humiliated because of these jerks once again! Yeah on false advertising alone ANY AND ALL LOANS SHOULD BE FORGIVEN, as well as sued for all of our blood, sweat, tears, and time we put into their programs and were left completely blindsided, embarrassed, in debt, and the worst part... putting so much work and effort into a lie of a dream based off their false advertising!REPORT COMMENTS

I went in just to see about the school and what I could do to get a BS degree from the college credits I already had in nursing. Before I knew it some woman had me filling out an online FAFSA and had me enrolled in the college. I told her several times I did not want ANY loans, I just wanted to see if i could get some sort of financial aid that I did not have to pay back. This was in 2005. She told me that I HAD TO GET LOANS in order to get financial aid. She also told me that I could not get FA unless I had some sort of income. I did not have a job at the time, and was living on my 401K from my previous job. Single mom with a baby in daycare. She told me to lie on the application and say that I worked for my mom on occasion and she paid me. I should have known right then and there that school was a hoax! I found a job while attending, and for 2 years I went to that place every night after I worked 8 hours of work, drove all the way to Bryant from Little Rock to get daughter and take her all the way to Maumelle so that my mom could watch her while I attended this felonious school to try to make a better life for my daughter. I should have been able to pay for the entire degree with a Pell Grant. They have all kinds of grants and scholarships for single moms to go to school now. She never entertained the idea that I might qualify for any scholarships, nor did she explain to me that Unsubsidized loans would immediately start accruing interest. She broke the law. They did not have Informed Consent, because I WAS NOT INFORMED! I knew nothing at all about any of that stuff when I went in there. She made me lie on my application, omitted very important information and advice, and after getting my degree I have not been able to find a job making more than $12/hr because NOBODY RECOGNIZES A DEGREE FROM UOP!!!REPORT COMMENTS

My student loan debt is currently $100,000+ after attaining both a bachelors and MBA from UOP. After graduating with my MBA I couldn't understand why I couldn't find a job for 5 years; I actually began to think that there was something wrong with me, but when I heard that so many other UOP graduates have experienced the same thing I know that those 5 years of no job and living out of my car was not caused by me. I eventually got a job at Target as a dressing room attendant making $9.00/hr with my big MBA. This is a terrible thing to do to people that are trying to improve their lives, and the lives of their families. You could not fathom what I went through when I was unemployed for so long. I lost my home, car, AND children. UoP needs to be punished by the full extent of the law. I plan to fight this.REPORT COMMENTS

This school is the worst school to go to. They kept telling me I didn't have enough financial aid so I had to pay 2 classes out of pocket. They told me I had to pay that in order to get back into classes. I was out of class for many months trying to pay off those classes. I started school again in October 2017 thinking I had financial aid to cover it. 2 classes later in December I was told I didn't have financial aid to cover those 2 classes. They told me I wasnt able to get financial aid because something was wrong with mine and my husband taxes. They told me I had to get a form from the irs my tax transcripts. Then a month later I needed a 1040x form.Submitted all my paperwork they requested. They took like 3 weeks to review one sheet of paper .I would call the financial services to get a update on my status . One person would tell me One thing another person would tell me another from their financial team. That was the same story 7 months later . Just getting the ring around. No one knows what they are doing in financial services. They have me in collections now for those 2 classes I made a choice to change schools for gcu. University of Phoenix does not have their best interest for their students. They do nothing to help . All they want is money and cause frustration and stress for their students. We have hopes of going back to school for a better future. This school can not definitely provide that . My question is what type of people are running this school and how do they sleep at night what they have done to students. Within 2 weeks I was enrolled at gcu. So far has been the best decision I have made.REPORT COMMENTS

I received a Bachelors Degree in Business Managment in 2010 as well. My debt was $31,000, which has ballooned to $65,000 because I couldn't get a job anywhere and had to turn to substitute teaching and the most I can make per week is $450.00 because it is a per diem job. I too expected to do well, as I had been in management and owned a hair salon. But today I have nothing from my degree except this huge ever growing student loan. I also found out that the school said it was accredited, but no business acknowledge's this degree...I tuned 69 July 2 and found out that I shouldn't have been given 4 different loans and that the degree is basically not even worth the paper it is written on. Sorry UoP turned out to be another dud in my life. I can't pay back this loan with the money I make and I still work because of this loan! I would like to have everyone who has had there hopes dashed absolved from this ungodly trap that was set by UoP and cause 10's of thousands of young and old hopes to crash and pay for something that was completely worthless. A terrible cost to pay for believing in UoP! I'm asking and pleading with the U. The degree, that was supposed to help me get a job, a career and be able to pay off the student loan debt, is causing the discrimination to gain employment. I would like the University of Phoenix student loans forgiven. It's truly upsetting to now know why I was never considered for employment. All my resumes, cover letters and applications where just thrown in the garbage, because I have this degree. I am so upset. All my hard work, the hours, year's writing papers, reading and researching, all wasted. I am so disappointed that this school continues to exist. Well, I'm asking and begging the U.
