They used Title 4 D as an excuse to violate and undermine our parental contract. CPS spends little to no money to keep kids in their home. Reunification plans are a travesty as the government has unlimited funds to force parents into treatment plans that are ineffective, have poor results and cost taxpayers millions. Family Court must be abolished and due process and evidence rules, with a jury trial, as in criminal court must be utilized instead. Rarely do parents and families get anywhere near the visitation that all Best Practices say are paramount in family reunification. CPS workers lie in court every day. They violate court orders. There is no govt oversight, accountability or recourse unless a family can afford an expensive lawyer. Court appointed lawyers almost never mount a real defense or hold CPS responsible. It's simply a rubber stamp system run to benefit CPS, Judges, social workers,therapists, counselors, psychologists, foster care, group homes, etc all on the taxpayer dime and all while destroying families that could have been saved and kept together.REPORT COMMENTS

I have a friend who is paying child support based on his income in california, where he was making $22 per hour. He moved out to SC, and his income dropped to $12 per hour, so he asked for a modification, in 2009. He filled out the modification and it was supposed to go to KS where the mother now lived. After several months, he called SC to ask about modification. They couldnt find paperwork, so he called KS, they had PART of the paperwork, but had never received the rest from GReenville SC child support enforcement, even though they had requested it many times. THAT fell through the hole. From 2009 until 2016, he had asked for 3 modifications, with NONE of them getting to the correct agency, and EVERYONE playing dumb. He got pulled over for a traffic violation in june of 2016, and went to jail on a bench warrant for supposedly owing support, when in actuality, they had just taken his taxes but that had not been entered in the system. SO, for 8 years, this man has been BEGGING for a modification based on what he earns, the family court takes close to half of what he makes, while the mother gets free housing, food stamps, insurance, etc. It seems the government rewards the slacker parent while punishing the one who actually works. So sick of judges who dont know the law and make up rules as they go. Time for Family Court to be Investigated and BIG changes made, namely getting rid of incentives like Title IV-A,D, and E that turn your child into a $$$ sign.REPORT COMMENTS

It goes a bit further. Jusges in Indiana have "judicial discretion" to impute income when calculating. Title IV-d provides incentive for judges to lie and mske up whatever they want for calculating income. Sure you can appeal if you have $20k leftover. Even then the state appellare court is funded by the same program. Bad people do bad things. Some of them hide behind protection of robes and lawbooks.REPORT COMMENTS

Yes the New Jersey court awarded my son to his mother, who had no job, so she went on welfare and now I pay the state the child support for her so called welfare. The last time I saw my son was when he was 5 yrs old, I was in the military, overseas and my ex wife took my kid and hide him from me... Now he is 14 years old and now i'm coming back to the states to find him... I will definitely be joining all groups for Non Custodial father Rights ..REPORT COMMENTS

My grandchildren were taken an Not one of my side of the family was given a chance for them to go to us. Why is the whole blood line ignored. There were many of us who went to court every court an still were ignored! I've since learned how corrupt this CP's system is. I could write a book. Our hearts are shattered an so are the boys. They live in the same town but are punished if they even look our way. It makes me I'll. Do away with this system the way it is now. They were so bonded to all of us. Fathers made false immunization records.......Child's literally had tears/ fissures even bleeding during Forensic and Sart exams, yet Protocols call for the fathers arrest and the child to remain in the mothers sole custody care!!!!!!! Even though there's tons of paperwork numerous Dcfs calls against the father and his family Even though the two judges at family court know protocols know the law and know that child molestation/ abuse cases don't belong in family court. Monitors called in cases against father and his wife Still the child is with the father and only see her mother and sister on sundays for four hours The more the child told the more they took her away violated her rights and that of her sister who was also a victim of the man yet ignored.
