What about those of us who have been falsely accused of parental alienation? When one looks at the checklists of what a parental alienator allegedly does, it is the alienated parent in my case who does the things such as bad mouth me, tell inappropriate things to the children, is verbally abusive to me,etc? In my case it is the alleged alienated parent who has made comments to the children such as you are a bad seed and going to jail, curse at the children, has had incidents with the children which were reported to Social Services by their therapists. I am not saying it does not exist but it is being used as the reason for all issues between the alleged alienated parent when sometimes the estranged parent needs counseling, parenting skills, family therapy etc -

The judge was definitely mentally unfit for the case so was the fake appointed attorney. I wonder why Dr.'s Have not stepped up in the matter more often some are for the mental abuse caused from the mom or dad who alienate the child. Law enforcement neglects federal amd state laws in cities and towns so do the cps workers and judges. If more legit Dr.'s and lawyers stepped up. Even the just actual honorable judges it could be fixed hmm..less spent tax money... LogicREPORT COMMENTS

I had to fight to see my two oldest. Took 7 years, Cost me a lot of money,(Which is there money too) but now have custody of them. Now I have to do the same with my youngest. This does exist! My girls and I are living proof. My daughters only get 1 day a week to see each other until I get into court to have a judge tell me that I am in fact her father. All while we are at her mercy. Her telling my youngest in front of us " Your sisters don't love you." STOP THIS WAR ON FAMILIES AND HELP!REPORT COMMENTS

I have dealt with this for years. The helplessness you feel watching your child slip through your fingers is overwhelming. Both parents should go through psychological testing before ANY custody is decided. Counseling should be mandatory.REPORT COMMENTS

I am currently being alienated by my ex with my son. It has been going on for years. It's is extremely frustrating and down right wrong. I am in a custody battle at the time and this law would help save my relationship with my son. It is a horrible sick child abuse to pound negative and false information into young minds. Playing with there emotions. Key word "brainwashing"REPORT COMMENTS

He who has the most money to pay off the lawyers, huge and GAL's will win. God forbid that you loose your job and have to relocate to find employment. I was a SOLE parent 5 years with absentee X. When I lost my job at the Prime age of 56 and could not find another in a bankrupt state, I had to relocate. He with a 30 pus year old dental practice, swooped in like a vulture and took SOLE CUSTODY. I fought until all I had left in savings was gone and then some. I can't go bankrupt over this. Now my 16 year old daughter is blocked from contacting me. She has a new phone, but her number is not to be shared with me.REPORT COMMENTS

I see way too much of this, and 95% of the time it is entirely because the man got tired of the woman's ******** behavior and doesn't want her, so she seeks her revenge by alienating and lieing to the children. Its sad, sickening and A CRIME!REPORT COMMENTS

Unless a valid and substantial claim can be made..a parent who remains in vicinity , remains actively involved should not be excluded from any of the child's life My case it is used as a form of revenge . Before.the separation I was the primary caretaker. After she has made.almost every possible move to make me.obscure. that bond I have with my children should not be used as a septic wound on what was a horrific relationship. It's absolutely ridiculous to not allow.both parents access ..equally.REPORT COMMENTS

This has to stop! Courts, attorneys, and judges are more than aware of this, yet it's allowed to continue. We all know the reason for that. The system profits from it at the expense of families. I'm disgusted that this has been going on with absolutely no intervention by the so called professionals. We the people will no longer tolerate this and should be granted the right to sue the court system for perpetuating it!REPORT COMMENTS

Why is this such a difficult decision for our legislators to make!? There is abundant case studies and medical/psychological proof that PA is alive and well on planet earth. Other countries have outlawed PA and the USA should follow suit. Allowing the targeting parent to get away with this destructive behavior perpetuates the abuse. Children deserve the truth about the targeted parent and the extended family...time to hold the the targeting parent accountable!REPORT COMMENTS

Nov 2nd, 2016Kathleen R. from Columbia, SC writes:
Any crime committed against a child should be punishable to the fullest extent of the law. The child's best interest should always be the top priority and should take precedence over any jurisdiction. Judges, attorneys, GAL's, and any agencies that cause harm to a child through allowing parent alienation should be found guilty and stripped of their credentials. I am so fed up that this is even a problem that has yet to be addressed and dealt with. Children can not grow up as mentally, emotionally sound adults when they are psychologically abused by not only the other parent (and their family members), but by a corrupt system that allows this to happen. One time, one case, one child is far too many. Why is doing the right thing so difficult by parents and the judges, agencies and GAL's who took an oath, swearing to uphold the laws and protect the innocent and/or those whose voices can't be heard? When is doing right by these children going to be the important and upheld?REPORT COMMENTS
