Congress should be ashamed of themselves. The proposed cuts represent little more than descrimination against the older American voter who happens to have the cancer experience.Jul 28th, 2009Someone from Saint Louis, MO signed.

This march to reform health care is wrong headed and people need to stand up and say enough is enough.REPORT COMMENTS

Many rural practices have small margins as it is, this will cause many providers to simply go out of business and create a lack of access to care for many patients.REPORT COMMENTS

This is the inevitable consequences of a bloated Federal government run medical insurance program. As you attempt to ration care to those who you have FORCED to pay premiums their whole life into an inefficient and ineffective program, perhaps you should also take the opportunity to remove from the massive healthcare reform bill the exemption from it you are giving yourselves. If you were forced to live under the laws and restictions you impose on us, your constituents, you would no doubt make different decisions.REPORT COMMENTS

Please look beyond your nose toward the long-term impact. This is discriminatory toward those of us impacted with cancer that choose our individual, personal and unique self-expression of the medical care we pursue. You see "one-size-DOES-NOT-fit-all" in the world of cancer.REPORT COMMENTS

I have worked in oncology for 18 years - in that time many new approaches to treatment have been made that have positively impacted the lives of our patients. Decreasing reimbursement will impair the ability of oncology caregivers to employ the best care for each patient. I strongly urge you to consider the impact of the Medicare cuts to oncology.REPORT COMMENTS

There is a clear distinction between Radiology, or medical imaging, and Radiation Oncology. These cuts will limit care, supress the quality initiatives so many centers want to invest in such as IGRT, and cause the closing of radiation centers across the country forcing cancer patients to travel 3 or more hours a day for their cancer care.REPORT COMMENTS

Since 1999 my wife, who is now 68 years old, has been able to keep her breast cancer from killing her even though it matastisised to her liver about 18 months ago. She has been able to do this because she has not been limited in the care and treatment provided to her including the many radiology exams, chemo sessions, various blood teste, and the unlimited consultations with her onocologist, all costs of which have been covered in full by Medicare and her Plan "F" Supplement policy. She would have died by now under your health care "reform" proposal. We do not want nor need your involvement which will destroy the very best health care system in the world. Thank you very much.REPORT COMMENTS
