Where do I begin? First of all, several American citizens including myself have signed this petition to end this wet foot dry foot law. However, nothing has changed. Cubans are fleeing their country on a daily basis and landing here on American soil. Too many of them are making it to shore. What are the Coast Guards doing out there? Are they working for them? I don't understand it. Other Americans outside of the state of Florida have no clue about the scams these people are causing Our country. They receive all the benefits that we worked so hard for. End wet foot dry foot now. Why is it taking you too long to end this policy? They are rude and disrespectful! There are no jobs for the American people unless you speak Spanish. I see billboards written in Spanish, this is an English country, why have they taken over? Give the same rights to other immigrants.

I serve 32 years in the Military and a wet foot dry foot person has more benefits than I do, I am retired due to injuries from combat on my last tour in Iraq. It is very sad to see after serving in the military that I can not get a job in my home town. Because I do not speak Spanish. Enough is enough stop the wet foot dry foot please. People live in south Florida for 35 or 40 years and do not speak any English. They are not moving because south Florida caters to Spanish speakers.

This a law that was meant to help people who are fleeing the oppression of their country. However, I've known of Cubans that just a week after of arriving in the U.S. go back to Cuba and keep on doing the same thing over and over. They're basically taking this country to ruins with all their scams to Medicaid, among other kinds, as well.

Either you do it for everyone or for no one. I do not agree with tax payer dollars supporting this antiquated law that was enacted over 40 years ago. Times have changed and in addition, many of these Cuban migrants are being smuggled in on private boats for large payments and then Dropped onto makeshift pretend crafts near the shore. This is an illegal act as well as the illegal collection of benefits by family members while many of them return to Cuba, not to mention the amount of criminals from Cuba coming in as migrants then committing crimes. This must stop!

US policy prohibits welfare recipients from collecting and/or using U.S. benefits in another country. The Cuban refugees claim they need assistance because of oppression. Yet many are happily returning back to Cuba, to purchase a house while their US relatives cash the government assistance check and mail it back to their relatives in Cuba. I never had a problem with this law until I began to notice they have overly abused our generosity. US Tax Payers spend near to $1 Billion annually on Cuban assistance. This calculation does not include all the other financial perks we provide for them. In addition, the relatives that are involved in mailing the checks need to be accountable for breaking our laws and placed in prison.

If we argue that this law exists because of an oppressive communist regime, that tortures, and murders its citizens (as Congressmen such as Ted Cruz have argued), then why don't we extend this same courtesy to citizens of oppressive regimes from all around the world? There are people living in countries far worse off than in Cuba. This is an outdated law, that serves absolutely no purpose for the American people. No other immigrant community has access to US resources under the "illegal immigrant" status, Cubans should be no different. End the guaranteed fast track to residency, plus access to public services, financial aid, etc. End the Cuban Adjustment Act now.

At the end of the day, they're still entering illegally. So if they can enter like this why can't others enter like this? What makes cubans so special? This law just isn't fair. If no other immigrants can enter like that then they, (cubans) shouldn't be allowed either.

They a are loud, rude, and you don't want then as your neighbors. They come to the US but then go to Cuba as tourists.

We need to get this out to the general population of the United States. If you can get this on FOX and CNN so that everyone in the US was aware of the money being given away to these people we could get this to stop.

Wet foot dry foot must come to an end ASAP! These people don't appreciate anything from the American citizens or from our country. They step off the boat and immediately receives all kinds of benefits that we, the American people have worked so hard for. Not to mention the 80,000 cars, section 8 housing, food stamps, welfare, and free lunch for their kids in school, all come from the labor and the sweat of hard working Americans. They are forcing the Spanish language on us and refusing the learn English. Pathetic! End it now or American will go bankrupt.

I'm bothered by this! After working 35 years and retired I have to live with this. People coming over illegally and getting more benefits than me. Being retired and trying to live off my pension is hard! If you're going to have a law like this then open it up to others such as Haitians!
