There is no benefit to it at all. It is an ill-conceived misbegotten practice. It is very disruptive to families who finally were able to get their kids to sleep through the night; then DST disrupts this. Stop DST -- for the children!Mar 10th, 2014Someone from Pleasant Grove, UT signed.

When everyone worked in factories DST made sense. It doesn't now. And it's very detrimental to children and adults to constantly be altering their sleep patterns.REPORT COMMENTS

There is no point to it, so why do it. Come on. Aren't we smarter than that?REPORT COMMENTS

DST is ridiculous. 12 noon is when the sun is at it's apex, so let it stay as such. Nothing to be gained by DST. 12 month a year DST is just as stupid. Leave us on sun time (regular time) all year and let those who want more after work light simply start an hour earlier in the morning!! Now it is dark in the morning. Are we all so dumb as to think changing the clock an hour will give us any more time in the day?! End DST now!REPORT COMMENTS

There is more concrete scientific data that show time change like this to be unhealthy than there are data that show any benefit from Daylight Savings Time. Please stop this manipulation as soon as practically possible!!REPORT COMMENTS

A 2007 study of energy savings in the U.S. suggested that energy savings in cooler climates were offset by increased demand for cooling in warmer climates. Environmental economist Hendrik Wolff, of the University of Washington, the same scientist who studied the morning/evening environment offset, asserted that ?Everywhere there is air conditioning, our evidence suggests that daylight saving is a loser.? It can cost us monety, too: In 2010, Utah State University economist William Shughart II asserted that turning the clocks forward and backwards each year costs Americans $1.7 billion of lost opportunity cost. His calculations assumed that each of us person over 18 spent about 10 minutes changing clocks instead of doing something more productive. There is no concrete evidence this clock change helps save energy. It just messes with our internal body clocks. End it now!REPORT COMMENTS

Stay on DST year round! People travel to work in the dark in the winter anyway, so there is nothing to be gained by changing the time for four months a year. Stay on DST for the entire year and make more people happy.REPORT COMMENTS
