Respected Congressmen, I urge you to consider clearing the backlog for highly skilled immigrants from India and China who are stuck in immigration line for a long time. You can easily do this by getting rid of per country cap of 7%. on employment based visas. We already have diversity visa to take care of diversity. Employment visas should not be tied to nationality of immigrant. All these immigrants pay taxes, are highly skilled and have demonstrated that their skills are in demand by obtaining a labor certification.REPORT COMMENTS

DEAR CONGRESS, You are against the IDEA of America. Because of your policy paralysis and turning a blind eye towards people who are struck in never ending backlog, many are suffering with high level of uncertainty like myself. Can i hold on my ideas to get a Patent until my green card is issued and turn it into a business? Is there a timeline to end the wait. Right now, frankly speaking, i am thinking to go back to my home country. What should i tell if someone ask me about USA?? Land of the free..No.. Can I say they want the SLAVERY to exist in any one form and It's the people of INDIAN origin in this backlog ? REMOVE THE COUNTRY CAP TO EMPLOYMENT BASED IMMIGRANT VISAS if you believe "ALL MEN ARE EQUAL" but not "ALL COUNTRIES ARE EQUAL" Prove that you can still work and get things done during an year of General Election of Midterm Election. ELSE You can't say you were working if you are so obsessed with ELECTIONS all the time and not about the work done.REPORT COMMENTS

Dear Mr. President and US Congress: I have an approved immigrant petition since 2012. I am still waiting to get my green card. I am confused by 'approved petition' and then 'waiting.' Please clear the green card backlog as those of us waiting have been approved to be legal immigrants. Thanks BCREPORT COMMENTS

I'm one of the smartest people on the planet. I have a bachelors degree from IIT, a masters from Carnegie Mellon, and a Ph.D. from MIT. I work in the industry today, but my goal is to found a biotech firm. However, I do not see this happening today since an H1B visa holder cannot start a business, nor in the near future if I continue to stay in the U.S. since a Green Card is six years away, thanks to the policies of your government. Hence, I'm planning my exodus to Canada or Europe within the next year. So long and thanks for all the fish.REPORT COMMENTS

Please help in clearing the backlogs in all EB categories at the earliest. It eases lot of pressure on skilled workers. People who are waiting for green card cannot completely explore the opportuinities here and who wanted to put their startup's here in US cannot keep their own company here. Please ease the green card backlogs at the earliest.REPORT COMMENTS

Dr. President. I call you doctor first thinking you know the present situation with immigration. Please clear the backlog for Indians in EB2. From f1 to h1 to gc is totally messed up. Students are screwed in College and just realized studying here that professors have no GLOBAL EXPOSURE, quality of education is not global but just a piece of paper to qualify you for jobs. After too much you find job and companies would exploit you coz they r paying for h1b and then greencard. CANT YOU SEE THIS?? COMPANIES are making us totally LABOR and WHO THE HELL WOULD COMPLAIN, we want to stay in AMERICA. COMPLAINING to getting mistreated would only lead us to leave work and leave the country. THE whole immigration system is broken. Wait for 10 years in eb2 seriously disgusting for you guys. PLease open your eyes and do it right and do it quick! ThanksREPORT COMMENTS

I (from India) and my friend (from china) possess equal and high skill tech stack working for a social media company in Silicon Valley and applied for Greencard in EB2 category in 2011 around same time. You know the result, my China friend received his green card an year ago and I am still stuck in backlog and expected to see the end of tunnel may be by the end of this decade. You know the mental agony of maintaining the visa status, sticking to same employer though I have my dreams and ambitions for greater reach for me and community So, my simple question is, how I am different from my Friend and where is the equality? Mr George Washington told, all men are treated equal and have the unalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, which I believe the current leadership didn't understand quite well And my Chinese friend just started a startup and my hopes of my own is in hands of bureaucrats and ill-informed politiciansREPORT COMMENTS

I always worried to see family abroad and living life of inmates which leads to depression and anxiety over period of time. Employer take care of our immigration status but this long make our life very hard. At least come up with solution which is within legal boundaries.REPORT COMMENTS
