I have spent most important part of my life, youth, working hard in day and night and have finally made it to the states with a hope of a comfortable life. Even with competitive skills, I cannot easily switch jobs to do something I love, I am stuck with a very few options and my remaining youth will be lost waiting for the green card. By the time I get my green card I might be mostly ready for retirement, leaving all my dreams to the next generation to fulfil. -

For the first time in my life I felt very discriminated. I am no longer in my 30's and I had colleagues at my work who happily tell me I can always go back to India and live there. I have made this country my home. My child was born here and I have all the memories built around these small towns I live in. I liked USA and its exactly the kind of place I want to raise my child. Just because I was born in India should I not hav dream to live in USA that too after made career with all our hard work and sacrificing so many years of our youth .Its not easy to pack your 10 years of life and go back even if it's your country of birth . I don't even if anyone concerned will even read this, I don't think if anyone can understand what emotional turmoil we go through ?I can only humbly request the Congress to ease the backlog for EB so instead of worrying about the green card ,ead day night, we can focus on work and family.we only need some stability in our life after so many years of patiently waiting .REPORT COMMENTS

Dear Members of Congress, Should people immigrate to USA legally? Yes. But what happens if you try to do so from India? Spend the best part of your life waiting for GC visa, unable to move forward with career, unable to settle down. I strongly believe people who try to immigrate legally and paying taxes should get a bit more respect for following the law rather than breaking it.REPORT COMMENTS

Dear Members of Congress, It's a irony that people (specially from India), who have come to the United States legally has to wait so long to get settled in this country. This doesn't happen to folks from other countries. The highly trained people are unable to settle down, travel and feel American, until they are allowed to fully settle here. I urge the Congress to take an action to settle this issue for good, like the American way with no bureaucracy. If the Congress can't take an Action then who will? Isn't the representatives responsible for taking action?REPORT COMMENTS

Please eliminate per country limits for high skilled employment based green cards. The reason I came to America was due to the belief that there is equality for all irrespective of race, religion, creed or national origin. Where is equal opportunity for highly skilled labor from India?? We are made of the same blood sweat and tears as anyone else. Our hopes and dreams are the same as anyone else. We help just as many if not more Americans by paying taxes and investing our earnings in the local economy. I personally care for many Americans as a doctor in an underserved area - yet I see someone from a less populated country obtain Green card in half the time while I am working diligently. How is this fair? Is my family's future less important? Is this a form of legal slavery? We are an American educated work force capable for forging ahead and leading America to success. Please don't hold America back by holding us back. God bless the USA.REPORT COMMENTS

Dear Members of Congress, The average wait time to get a green card for highly-skilled immigrants is over 18 - 20 years. This is definitely a matter of concern. Most immigrants will flee to other countries offering better and smoother immigration processes leaving the US high and dry for talent. I urge you to consider this petition and bring forth some relief to immigrants and their families and do the right thing.REPORT COMMENTS

With a Master Degree from the USA, work experience in the USA, filed GC under EB 2, I have to wait for decade to get my green card. This does not seem right for a country which wants to welcome talented immigrants. Kindly do something which removes talented skilled people from these shackles.REPORT COMMENTS
