I am a disabled veteran. I did not choose the home I bought to enjoy the rest of my life in to be harassed by some vague entity about MY PROPERTY! I say if the HOA can tell me what to do with MY property, they can pay for the maintenance of same. Otherwise back off! I don't care what anyone tries to tell you HOAs are unconstitutional! They have no right to interfere with life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. I believe HOAs to be a backdoor gateway to communism! Not only are HOAs annoying, but they also encourage petrochemical companies that have toxic hazardous material used as pesticides and herbicides, paints, plastics flame retardants etc... If you want to grow anything natural it simply will not grow in these areas. They constantly throw ratpoison and etc around and I see squirrels and pets die of the same kind of convulsions and seizing up that was supposedly designed to be for the smaller critters or not at all... AND they make you pay for it. They kill your kids and fruit and foot you the bill! Not only do they do this, but they DEVALUE property value. They do this in some regions I think so that failed areas go to banks and they get REAL assets. If you go into a neighborhood and all the ****ing houses look the same and there is no visible life YOU DON'T WANT TO BUY IT! This was always apparent to me but I guess not everyone is aware of such things... Oh yeah and gutters are ugly as shit, let me make my own damn setup with a ceramic rainchain and rainjar so I can try and wash away all of the nonsense you made in the first place, and don't have to pay outrageous prices on some damn sprinkler system you think I ought to have. HOAs make people dependent on mass produced food by claiming that they can prevent "agricultural enterprises"... Community gardens and trading establishments, with an allowance for any pet herbivore you want provided you feed them enough/keep grass alive should be encouraged for American food security and safety. But I guess we can't do that because we're so worried about chemical attacks from domestic enterprises! What a load of crap. Just ban the******monsanto makes, encourage people to grow plants indoors and test their air quality and filters... Expensive air conditioning units which are integrated are often a hazard... If you've got a cheap window one and you rig it will to have something to try and "catch" contagions that's damn good enough until you have enough money for more. Easy fix is dissolution of interest in loans. All interest is usury. Our HOA sued us for non-payment. They have even garnished our bank account leaving us penniless. I am a stay at home mom of a 2 and 3 year old and my husband was recently laid off. But they don't care. They never responded to our request for payment arrangements and they don't even offer any services to the community. I want our HOA gone. We live in a nice neighbourhood. The HOA here are awful they made us take out our air conditioning units and we have kids it is so hot in our house now. Our air conditioner went out and our landlord can't do anything until next week. We live in Texas and its summer so you can imagine what kind of heat we are dealing with. They threatened to sue us so they would have us lose the house. Just the other day they had someone's house taken away because they had five bushes instead of three.
