Liberals watch & support PBS because it is a biased Liberal news organization. If it were conservative Liberals would have nothing to do with it . Viewers like me (tax payers like me) hope Trump will remove the Federal funding handout to the CPB. Uncle Sam doesn't need to fund the Liberal (fake) news organizations like CPB, PBS & NPR.

Better than the PBS crap? Obviously you didn't learn your linguistic skills via PBS. PBS has provided quality programming for our families for generations. Defunding Donald Trumps weekly Florida trips would pay for PBS easily. This is a political move due to the fact that PBS dosn't have the same political views as the current administration, very sad. Our children have to suffer based on politicians wanting to deprive us of a balanced view of the world. This needs to stop.

Watching a broadcast I noticed that they referred to President Trump as "Mr. Trump". Now I'm not necessarily a supporter of President Trump but he is the legally elected President of this country. Their constant references to him as "Mr. Trump" is not only disrespectful to him and the office but also to those people who voted for him. It exposes their lack of an unbiased reporting style. For these reasons I feel that PBS is not fairly reporting and is using their platform to promote there own agenda.

Couple things; the only government funding going into PBS is to run the emergency broadcast service. Think about that for a moment, you are asking to remove people's ability to know if there are tornados, wildfires or even bombings coming and what to do in the aftermath. Bad idea. Second, that $445 million is so off it is borderline insanity. Only about a tenth of that is divided between ALL of the stations and national service. The rest is tax exemptions from donations. Doesn't count as funding. Third, PBS IS a 501C3 charity, so this author has no clue what they're talking about. And honestly considering they used the incorrect 'there' rather than 'their' I think we can agree they should watch more PBS. Finally, there is no reason the station should have to rely on advertising or corporate influence and money to stay on the air. This is a basic service that should be free of political or special interests.

Defund PBS. The station should stand on its own to succeed or fail as any other station. Tax dollars should not be supporting this station. Nothing against PBS, but there are dozens of channels to choose from and our tax dollars can be better used elsewhere.

The fact that PBS has turned into just another Propaganda Machine for the Democratic Party offends and alarms me. I don't want my Children brainwashed with Liberal ideology especially now that the Democrats have now embraced the Islamic Brotherhood by putting Muslim classes, books in public classrooms. Who knows what they are teaching our Children on Sesame Street. I wish to Petition the US Govt to stop funding PBS.

Pbs and NPR only allow pro Obama voices. This meant no Sanders or Trump voices. Obama and Clinton were and are their sponsors, so let them and their friends sponsor them. Not the American taxpayer. I am an independent and think our voices were never allowed to be heard. My taxes for many years have sponsored them and their wars and it has to stop!

When I was younger, I was very much against defunding PBS. I viewed it as an educational staple for people young and old. Now I see that it has evolved into nothing but propaganda for the regressive faction of the left. Public broadcasting should not be about pushing a narrative, but about reporting facts. If they fail to report facts, they deserve to lose public funding.

Enough with tax dollars funding PBS and NPR, both have become slanted toward to the far left. When PBS actively censors those with opposing views by not doing live interviews it is time for the organization to sink or swim on its own. PBS should be the true "fair and balanced" network since the American people help keep it floating, but no now they want to lobby on behalf of one viewpoint, while holding their grubby hand out to the other half for funds.

The taxpayer-funded Public Broadcasting Service has become a left-leaning channel for the liberal viewpoint. This despite the 1985 rule that all PBS shows must be "noncommercial, nonpartisan and nonsectarian. PBS has been a liberal sacred cow almost since its inception. And while some of its non-political programming ? including science shows like ?Nova? and ?Nature? ? as well as its broadcast of the theater and music programs have made invaluable contributions to excellence in broadcasting, only the most willfully self-deluded would argue that its political programming is anything but a recitation of liberal themes and dogmas.

I was a PBS supporter for a long time. I though that of all the stations they would be the least bias, unfortunately I discovered that they are just as left leaning as many other media outlets. So why do we need them when we have stations like CNN to listen to?
