My biggest problem with npr is they have taken over the 88-92mhz spectrum of the fm band like a cancer growth. They have way too many frequencies alotted to their biased communist views! When I first started listening to non commercial radio there was such an eclectic variety of choices. College stations and community radio were abundant on the band. Now they're almost gone because big bully npr has so many transmitters, they either block out other stations or simply have pushed them off the air.Oct 1st, 2016Brian C. from Takoma Park, MD writes:
Blatent one-sided political attacks have become a staple at NPR. Our taxes should not be funding propaganda.REPORT COMMENTS

Why are y'all so offended by a radio station. It's kind of funny that conservatives call liberals sensitive, but you guys are throwing fits over a radio station. If you don't like it, all you have to do is change the station. Turn off the radio, pop in a cd, marry your cousin; nobody's forcing you to listen to the radio.REPORT COMMENTS

Been listening to NPR since I was a child. The entire programming schedule is now designed to dishonor the conservatives and praise the socialists. I can't listen for more than 5 minutes without becoming upset. I love how they claim 50 times a day that no one with a college education is voting Republican. I have two degrees and the only thing I'm not doing this year, is donating to National Pandering Radio. I think the left has enough outlets without using my taxes to have another one.REPORT COMMENTS

Used to love to listen to and supported NPR. The original concept was for an unbiased publicly funded media. It has evolved into a totally liberal left wing propaganda outlet. It is no longer deserving of public funds.REPORT COMMENTS

Cokie Roberts and her playing the woman card as a spin to get Hillary Clinton elected president is the last straw in what has become a bastard public radio system in the US. In light of continued bias in favor of Globalism--namely the unabashed propaganda campaign for a Hillary Clinton presidency--it is time to halt public funding of NPR. The corporate main stream media has prostituted itself as well but at least taxpayers don't have to foot the bill for it. NPR has proven that it can no longer engage in fair and balanced reporting of the issues. Too big to fail should not apply to what NPR has become; stop taxpayer funding of NPR and let them find their funding elsewhere, or fade into the dustbin of history where they rightly belong.REPORT COMMENTS

Normally I looked past the bias of the programming. This latest bias shown in favor of Clinton and against Sanders was the last straw. Despite all the wonderful non-political programming NPR provides our tax dollars shouldn't fund bias.REPORT COMMENTS

NPR censored several of my comments to transcripts of interviews. These comments are in no way offensive; but are only critical to the interviewer and guest on their show. I don't believe my tax dollars should go toward funding NPR.REPORT COMMENTS

This is not an objective news reporting agency but rather an unabashed left wing steering committee. There is no legitimate reason for the public at large to be supporting this obviously biased "reporting". It does not confront me that they spout their left wing messages. I do however vehemently opposed to pay for it - even just a little bit. It is not the governments responsibility to provide for this "service" - even just a little bit. Do your job and defund NPR.REPORT COMMENTS
