My father was one of the many inmates that did not receive proper treatment in this facility. As many have stated the f4 united at Federal Medical Center in lexington,Ky is suppose to be designed for those inmates with illness , but they failed to provide proper care and medication in order for the inmates to properly care for their injuries and illness. My father stated to me many times that he was having chest pains,stomach pains, and he was not receiving adequate care. He also stated that he would see many of the employees hiding out so that they did not have to care for him. My father suffered several heart attacks and strokes while under the care of this facility. After he had several strokes he became paralyzed on his left side after being sent back to the facilty from University of Kentucky hospital he did not receive any type of physical theropy or rehabilitation to regain his strength in order to perform normal daily duties. Three months later he passed away on July !5, 2011.I have read several complaints and many of the family memebers of loved ones in this facility suffered and passed away shortly after just as my father did. We are just asking for a thorough investigation at this facility. Even though they are inmates the deserve proper care. I called to the facility several times concerned about my fathers health,speaking to his case worker and case manager that has never seen him before and had no idea about his health condition or his stability.This is unethical and unlawful for individuals to have knowledge of this happening and he/she does nothing about it because they are scared they may lose their jobs.This is a sad disgrace for a federal prision and something needs to be done about it. It can not bring my father back, but we are writing in hopes to help other family's that may have a loved one in this facility.Jul 31st, 2011Someone from Acworth, GA signed.
