This is a very good Idea. I really believe that this will help inmates and their families stay strong. It is hard enough on spouse and children when the other is not ever home. How do I sign the petition? -

I also agree that family visits would eliminate alot of jail conflicts... It would give inmates something to work towards maintain and allow them one on one contact with family members.REPORT COMMENTS

Please pass this bill. It should be our primary goal as human beings to have needed relations especially with spouse. The Jails and prisons bare filled with homosexual behavior. Maybe if the were allowed to keep intimacy with spouses during incarceration these numbers would decrease. And inmates could focus more solely on rehabilitation. Why certain human beings are only allowed in certain states.?? Are other people outside of the states which allow conjugal visits any less human?? Sex in most csses is a necessity such as food and a shower. Its basic human nature. And a right to procreate. In Marriage. I don't have anyone in prison. But this saddens my greatly. You can't visit sexually with your wife...but you can be raped, or threatened to be raped....this is sick. I think laws should be passed for people who are spoused to be jailed separately!!!REPORT COMMENTS

My husband and I have been married since 2013. It would be lovely if we could take it a step forward. This have been found very effective in other states that offer these type of visitations and I believe it would be good for Missouri as well. We are way behind on a lot of things in Missouri. This is coming from a registered voters that have been living in Missouri over 50 years. It's time to make a REAL change.REPORT COMMENTS

This would be a great idea because it would help my fiancee and myself build more of an intimate relationship being that he is still incarcerated and looking at a lot of time. It would help my fiancee stay on track and look forward to more of a visit with me. I would love to just be able to hold him and have more time with him and I know he would love that also.REPORT COMMENTS

Prison is supposed to rehabilitate those incarcerated - help them to integrate into society as healthy productive individuals - cutting inmates' ties to their families and isolating them from the outside world is perpetuating the problem. Lack of funding is a terrible excuse. Inmates are charged much higher prices for everything - phone time, video visits, food, paper, books, clothes... all brings money into the system, and some at double the price of the real world. Families would gladly pay to have access to real time with their loved ones. Bring back family visits!REPORT COMMENTS

I agree with this program. It would cause the inmates to behave. Most of the inmates would do anything for a chance to spend quality time with their wives. They are already doing time for Their crime. Some inmates are sentenced to life as young adults Due to drunk driving they made huge mistakes and are already being punished by having to live the same day over and over again. How would you feel if you had no rights anymore do to one mistake as basically a kid and was still a virgin to never know the affection of a woman. And everyday you have no one but your wife in your life and are told you will never know her intimately. Plus there's a lot of inmates that are not guilty. That are being punished for a crime they did not do. All it takes is one person who hates you to say you touched there kid and then if kid hated guy too say he touched me in bad places next thing you know you are in prison and labeled child molester. See how flawed our system is to cause you to lose your rights to spend time with your spouse.. I really hope this can pass. Because the examples I used are true cases that happened.REPORT COMMENTS

I believe conjugal visits should be allowed for prisoners. At least every 3-6 months if once a month is to much, especially for newlyweds!REPORT COMMENTS

Since the 85% sentencing law far too many BLACK MEN and Women and families are suffering in many ways (mentally, emotional and physically). What Missouri is doing is committing Genocide.REPORT COMMENTS
