Wow, I didn't know those types of visits was held in prison but it seems like a good idea, may help families stay together.REPORT COMMENTS

I fully agree with this as it would help children grow stronger bonds with parents and let husbands and wives feel close alsoREPORT COMMENTS

I think it would be good and a incentive for something good for them to look forward to. And yes a good way to relieve stress.REPORT COMMENTS

I believe conjugal visits are extremely important. Prison life seems to be very structured and that they go by a strict time policy. An inmate might just start confrontations with just about anyone just to make 1 day different from the last 365+ days. If they were allowed some sort of reward, hence conjugal visits, there might just be a nice change for the workers as well as the inmates.REPORT COMMENTS

I believe this is what they need. Some alone time to spend with their family. Havr a normal day. This would help them stay out of trouble.REPORT COMMENTS

I believe the homosexual, violent or just not coloring rules behavior would seize to happen. Because they would have hope. Praying for these expensive calls are hard on the families plus commissary. It would allow children to reconnect with their missing parent. Or their elderly and sickly parents to spend some quality time with before it's too late. There are a few prisoners that stay in honor dorms that already follow the rules so why should they be punish for those that aren't. Just make the rules where if you're addicting out or aggressively then you can't have a family visit. What about the grown children that has never had a chance to even see their parent. This would be beneficial to the inmate and his/her family. Since they have hope of a better future they won't cone back.REPORT COMMENTS

Yes. This would be an excellent idea. I have seen my fiancee when he has lost all hope. If one takes away everything there is no will to follow rules or even try to go back to society. But when you give someone hope, something to look forward to, a goal to aim for they find purpose and strive to try to follow rules and aim for rehabilitation. My fiancee has many depression and suicidal issues and thought I would leave him once he was locked up. The phone calls and commissary are so expensive and there is only so much you can connect with family and loved ones through an inch thick glass or short expensive phone call. I dont know how many times we have said "how much time do we have left? How many minutes did we use? Do you have enough money to add more minutes?" Its heartbreaking. Bring family visits to MO. Let us keep our bonds with the ones we love and give them purpose and goals to strive for. I would die just to be able to give him a hug again. And he would have so much more hope and strive to focus on his future and rehabilitation as opposed to feeling oppressed.REPORT COMMENTS

This is a very good Idea. I really believe that this will help inmates and their families stay strong. It is hard enough on spouse and children when the other is not ever home. How do I sign the petition?REPORT COMMENTS
