I think closing the border is the best idea I have heard in my lifetime... I and everyone I personally know in my small PA town have worked all of our lives and have been raised by hardworking parent and relatives...we are fed up with people getting instant food, medical and housing on OUR dime... the more people we keep out, the more money goes to LEGAL AMERICANS!!! There is a commercial on TV with "stars" asking for money to help feed the hungry in America...really?? the 13 million that was wasted on the "re-count" would have fed quite a few people...the money spent on food, housing and meds for NON AMERICANS would certainly feed a lot of hungry Americans..BUT for some reason, we are not provided the same luxuries as illegal immigrants and their families...The only thing I would give them is birth control so that they can not use their children as leverage (what great parenting!) Well, maybe when national debt is paid, maybe when there are no more homeless legal American citizens, maybe when our vets have been properly cared for.....Maybe when we just decide it's okay to have a few immigrants come to the country in a legal manner. Since it seems there are so many people who desire to just let anybody come to this country, I propose they must sponsor immigrants in their personal residence for a minimum of 1 year. They will also be held personally accountable for any negative actions that the immigrant commits. I guess will call it "Foster an Immigrant Program" I'm not suggesting every immigrant is inherently bad, or has criminal tendencies. I believe it is a very sad time for this country. When did America become a right to the people of the world. There was a time when people from other countries had to apply and wait for permission to receive the right to come to America. These families paid large sums of money in order to get their legal papers to come here. I am very upset that by the fact our society has made the decision to call people who oppose allowing illegal immigrants or refugees from being allowed in this country are racist. The reality is there is a large majority of legal immigrants who have been delayed or lost their opportunity to come do to the huge amount of illegal immigrants. Bringing people in from countries that can be a threat to our country is wrong. Helping other countries and my understanding is we actually support 56 countries with our tax dollars, is crippling our country. People need to remember that the United States has laws for immigration, the problem is how do people who are not citizens or residents of this country have more rights then the people who are born here? Our society needs to understand, " We The People" means legal men, women and children who were born here, those who have been naturalized citizens and residents who applied for citizenship. How is it illegal immigrants, refugees and people who came here to give birth to their children are being recognized as full American Citizens? I understand the children have lived here their entire lives, I understand they were allowed a free education and are allowed to attend universities but the reality is in many countries where a United States Citizen has a child, that child is not considered a legal citizen in the country. In order to be considered as a citizen from being born in another country because both parents have to prove they lived in the USA for a period of time prior to the birth and other factors. The point is illegal immigrants come here while pregnant so their children receive the same status as families who paid to come here. It is very wrong! Families will have to make tough decisions of separating from their child, parents will be forced to leave their child or take him or her with them. This is one reason illegal immigration has become a huge issue. If these families came here legally and filed the correct paperwork and applied for visa's and renewed them there would not be so much anger and upset in this country. I know illegal immigrants and I have empathy for their situations but I also know many people who allowed the visa's to expire and did not return to their country. What people do not understand is immigrants need a sponsor to come here. I do not know the specifics about what sponsors do but I do know they have some type of responsibility for the person they sponsor. Our Country is not supposed to place every single citizen at risk especially today when their is ISES who is recruiting men, women, children to kill people all over the world. We need to take back out country for real. We need to stop sympathizing with every single situation and get back on track to making our Country Great Again. If that means closing the borders and preventing anymore people from entering this country I am all for it. If it means getting Jobs back in this country so people can support themselves and their families I am for it. If it means preventing attacks in this Country I am for it. My point is our society has become overly sensitive to the point their are laws being made that taught many generations how to be resilient and strong. Today the coddling and political correct is harming our society and it is isolating other races from being allowed to express how they feel. In America Freedom of Speech means having the right to express one's self without being afraid of being harmed. The riots and protests are getting more violent. Our country has been broken because Racism is used for someone disagreeing with any subject. I pray with all my heart Trump is able to change this country to a productive one. I pray everyone stops the HATE and ACCUSATIONS OF RACISM every time a white person disagrees with other causes or protests.
