We have homeless people here. Our nursing homes are deplorable. We can't take care of our own. My home was invaded by bed bugs and cost us everything. A Mexican store owner uses our HOA dumpster for all his trash from the store sowe can't use it. There are stories from the daily suffering from this implosion but we are dismissed. Waiting all day in the ER. You have to wait in the SS office filled with HB1 when the high schools graduate hundreds in need of jobs or welfare people that could fill those positions. PLEASE, close the border. While I am not without compassion for those who are on genuine need of help, I feel that we need to direct our attention to our own citizens in need. What of the plight of our own homeless? Many of whom, are women, children and veterans whose needs have been sadly neglected. What about the healthcare system that is in such distress already? The fact is, we already have sick, hungry, and homeless people who are already suffering and in need right here, right now. Where are the outraged voices who advocate for THEM? The so called caravan of those proclaiming to be seeking asylum is only the first of many that will follow if they are allowed to breach our border and are granted asylum here. I think that we are beyond the point of debating whether or not these individuals are sincere. Yes, many are indeed criminals. This is a moot point and it is beyond that now. I am tired of hearing about the lack of compassion among those of us who oppose allowing these people in. I want to know why the same outrage is not being voided over our own hungry, sick, elderly, and homeless who are here LEGALLY. Where is the compassion and concern for our own??? Until we can say beyond a doubt, that we have successfully remedied these problems, it is quite simply, outrageous to welcome even more people here. Please hear our voices! We are saying, "NO". Let me tell you a story. I have a son who lived in Mercedes Texas. December 31st @ 4:30 am, my son was getting into his car to go to work, leaving his wife and son asleep at home. when he opened his car door, an illegal Hispanic male, jumped him at gun point and forced him into the car, and to drive away. At gun point the illegal alien threatened to kill my son, and his wife and child if he didn't follow his instructions. He then made my son drive to an ATM and had him remove all of his money from his checking account. He tried to get his savings account but couldn't because his card wasn't connected to the account. He threatened to go back to my sons home and kill his entire family. So my son agreed to empty his savings account when the bank opened. When it did open, this punk took my son into the bank, walking close to him with the gun in his coat pocket and watched as my son emptied his savings. After they left the bank, this illegal took my son's money, then pistol whipped him and stripped him of his clothes and tied his hands and feet in the back seat of his small vehicle. for the next 14-15 hours this scum bag drove around in my son's car telling him - "You are going to die today." "I have to kill you- nothing personal, just business." While driving my son around, doing drugs, and beating my son, he told my son, he was going to kill him and then rape and kill his wife, and son. He had my son for a total 17 hours he beat and threatened my son and his family with death. Thankfully around 8 or 9 pm, this "Illegal Alien" decided he needed to go back across the border. He pulled off on a side road, stopped, and drug my son into a small open area with some low brush, and rolled him in the brush. Then (Thank God) he turned and walked away. My son was sure he was going to die. After 10 or 20 minutes, my son managed to get his hands free, and untied his feet. Then stripped of his clothes, he made his way back to the highway and managed to stop someone who called an ambulance and police. The "Illegal Alien", got across the Border with my son's car, and his house keys. To this day they still have not caught this punk. This is why it's necessary to build that wall. America does not close its borders like some fearful isolationist state. America was made by immigrants, and America is made of immigrants. It is legal to seek asylum, not to mention good and proper that we should help our neighbors when asked: this is at the very root of what it means to be American.
