Have been so distract for a long time over how horrible man is to animals. I want these people away from all animals and in jail for a long time. What is wrong with you people. It is our job to help these beautiful creatures of god and these vile sub humans who do this need to walk in the forest never to return. Take that comment any way you think I mean it. Get strict!!!house and senate you are jokes to the world. Get off your butt and do something quick. I am the kind of person you want helping you because I am past livid. I cry constantly and pray god will help these animals. Call me text me do something so I and others can help!!! I truly believe god is crying because we have let gods creatures do something stron and forceful. Stricter laws and take away all rights of abusers. When you stand before god what will you tell him you have done to help animals and abused animals? -

yes this has to stop. it is prove en that animals have the same feelings as we do. studies proof that an adult dog has the mind of a two -four year old human child!! and they get treated this way!! omg!11 puppies n kittens are like human infants! proven. we are there voice they need to be protected! I hate seeing abusers get away with with this abuse. fine the heck out of them & jail time. no mor animals for them. please change these laws to protect our animals. lets save lives not destroy them.REPORT COMMENTS

I am a victim of hurricane Harvey as are my 2 companions Kungfu n jersey.they are no unique breed of dog but unique in personality and very loved. We were ordered mandatory evacuation and fled to neighboring town to a hotel. Also with us was my 2 adult children a 2 and 3 year old , my 3 sisters and a nephew. I had a friend I would be staying with so my concern was for my family. Upon booking the room the deskman said no pets were allowed.i said they were mine and they wouldn't be staying. The next day while paying for the room and taking my family bread and non perishable food items the manager now says to me I guess you were told no animals. I said yes and let him know they were with me and wouldn't be getting out of car. He said NO animals on premises in car or otherwise. Once again the next morning I go to see if my family needed anything and the manager walked around the motel to get to my car and asked could he look in it to see if I had a dog. My friend that drove me politely told him no and we drove off. The manager of hotel called the rooms of my family and told them to leave because I was in the parking lot and he knows I have animals. This all in a time when hotels and shelters are full! We can not go back to our towns until further notice. I called and asked for owners number and was told no I wouldn't get it. Can there not be a little leniency in a time of crisisREPORT COMMENTS

I have concern for the lack of enforcement of the laws that protect the animals in Suffolk County . It is my belief that the animals are suffering because only those who can protect them by law are not doing that, specifically the SPCA. Margarita Estime 56 of Mastic Beach New York was charged with animal cruelty.She chained her dog outside and starved her dog to death. She has been charged with misdemeanor .What does that mean ! She may get 1 Year imprisonment $1,000 fine or both. This why animal cruelty exist .I want to fight to change our LAWS!! My town is filled with these people .We have had case after case. I would like to see the Laws Changed So That Pets Are Not Viewed As Property. I realize that they can't be defined as humans because we allow them to be bought and sold but we can make more of our animal abuse laws a felony with longer prison sentences. I also want to make changes, by action. I live in a rural area outside of Raleigh, NC. I emailed a commissioner with no contact back to me. Could someone help me get to the right people. I am sick of seeing ignorance in Human Beings. I see dogs chained up 24/7. No telling what else is going on. DOG is GOD spelled backwards. I know these animals have souls and feelings. Im dealing with an animal abuse case in West Virginia where there's. A puppy left outside with mange thats basically on deaths door, and they wont even take the animal from the people. They're giving them a COUPLE OF WEEKS to get this poor animal to the vet that will BE LEFT SUFFERING. This dog is in such bad shape you can't even tell WHAT IT IS. I want things to change. I am so happy and proud to see a group of people working on this issue. I have known and preached to all that will listen, our laws need to change. Please make punishment stiffer for people who hurt helpless animals. Here recently in Louisiana an evil man named Shawn Glen Jones, shot, killed and dumped 5 helpless puppies His bond is only $15,000! I think it's a joke, for killing 5 helpless living animals he must come up with a small fine to get out of jail. Another couple Alvin Elsqulin and Lenjean Henry hid 11 huge dogs who were so malnourished they were half of their normal body weight. The dogs were skin and bones with sores all over them. The worse part of this story these people were already in trouble for doing this to another dog. They weren't even suppose to have dogs, that's why they were hiding them inside a closet. This is why I keep preaching we must change our laws! Please for the love of God start making the punishments much worse. If a person could be cruel to an animal they damn well can also be cruel to a person.REPORT COMMENTS

I want to know HOW to change the law. I want to know what I can do to help change it. I don't want to be a person who just talks about how bad the abuse of our animals is and not doing something about it. I literally just talked to an Animal Control officer who told me there is nothing he can do about my neighbors dog who is killing the other one because the dogs are property and he needs convent from the owners to help. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! They're going to come home to a dead dog and you're gonna leave a note on the door saying you stopped by?! No. No. No. The law absolutely has to change. If that was a child or any human being they would be in prison. The same should be for animals for they are just like babies and can't defend themselves.
