To the people making the decisions about the cost of medications. You need to know that insulin is just as important to them as AIR is to you. The kids and adults with Type 1 Diabetes didn't choose this, it something that has happened to there pancreas, so they need insulin to live. The very smart people who have developed insulin that doesn't have to be refrigerated and continous glucose monitors that keep them safe at night, wanted to improve peoples lives not make drug companies rich, please launch a congressional investigation to why the increases.

As an 18 year old senior in high school, I watch in horror every time as we drive to the pharmacy to pay upwards of $400 for my 1 inch tall vials of insulin, knowing that I am lucky to have had parents able to support this high price, but terrified that I won't be able to pay once I am living on my own.

My sister has type 1 diabetes. What if my parents couldn't afford the care and insulin as they can? Even then, in order to afford it, they still end up paying extreme prices anyways to get insured!

No one should be putting their life at risk because they can't afford insulin.

People let alone children should not have to go bankrupt just to survive a sickness that should already have a cure,

When is the madness going to stop?! A life saving drug, insulin, that my type 1 diabetic son takes everyday to stay alive is not affordable! He has hopes and big dreams to make it to the Olympics, and yet we are barely able to afford insulin! It's not like he can simply decide to not take it! We need CHANGE and we need it YESTERDAY! Stop just "investigating" and actually do something!

My diabetes supplies and medication cost me over $500/month. This is a large portion of my monthly income and has steadily increased over the past few years. Please HELP!

I would like to know what is being done to investigate pharmaceutical companies that are jacking up the price of insulin. We the families of children with Type 1 diabetes have absolutely no choice in the matter, our children have to have their insulin or die. Insulin keeps million of people alive, pharmaceutical companies should not profit from other people's pain.

I have never been able to be truly dependent, nor will I most likely ever be able to. With such high prices to survive I will always have to have to have my bills paid in this order: Insurance, Diabetes supplies, Food, Rent, Car, Student loans... I went to school to get my degree which has not paid off very well yet, I am in constant debt and I do not know if I will ever be able to pay off my loans which keep growing. With insurance I pay $6,500 A YEAR OOP before my insurance is met, but because i can only order a limited number of supplies I cannot stockpile and have about 1 week at the end of the year where I can get them for free, and at that point there is a 30 waiting period so it never works... I am terrified for my life.

Insulin is not a cure it is life support. It must be made readily available for those in need at affordable pricing for all or at no fee. Don't let our country's children and grown T1Ds go back to the dark ages in pursuit of insulin to save their lives.
