Digital tv has so many stations with a not very strong signal. A lot of stations are Arabic or Spanish , which I can't understand. Some stations disappear for days and then come back. This is total non sense. Bring back analog!

Why can't we be given a choice? I have a very small handheld portable TV that I love but can't take anywhere because I get no reception since it's analog. It's a perfectly good little TV with a 3 1/2" screen and just right for trips, but it's useless to me now. I realize that I can purchase one with a 7" screen, but I don't want anything that big because I already have an iPad that size I can watch movies on. But I want TV and I want small. Please consider making at least some channels both analog and digital.

In my area I get a few low power stations, and they just get a bit of snow when I move my body in front of the signal, but digital blacks out and I stare at the screen seeing my sad face in the reflection.

Analog NTSC works better in fringe areas. I cannot watch any TV. Whereas with Analog I could at least get VHF channels.

There are many options for local and national news. Most TV stations have free live feeds of their iocal newscasts online. Many TV's today are smart TV's. If you don't have one, you can get a Roku Stick.or an Amazon Fire stick for $30-40 one time fee. Plus with that, you can access apps that offer cable TV shows on demand. Most require a cable log-on for the most recent content, but you can watch plenty of content free, it just might be a week or more older. News. Netflix is cheap and Amazon Prime video is included for free if you already have Amazon Prime for shipping. Plus, for $20/month you can get a few dozen cable channels through services such as Sling TV. If you just want to watch local free to air TV, I'd highly suggest a Mohu Leaf antenna . It just works well. It's about $60 at Walmart.

This is a conspiracy to leave the poor in the dark on politics, international, national and local news. I find it odd that all the crap channels work that do not pertain to todays world...GRIT TV, Home Shopping Network, ect all seem to work giving you very dated entertainment (Nightrider, A-Team, Chuck Norris crap, ect)...however no current news is accessible to those that cannot afford cable. I scream ********.

Digital signal tv sucks. We know it was just a way for your friends at the cable and satellite communications to make more from the poor and y'all to get your kickbacks. Now, turn the mthrfkr back to analog bcuz we can't afford cable or satellite tv. As my wise elders used to say "if it's not broke, don't fix it." All this is is a way to line your crooked pockets. Bunch of swamp rats. This digital signal sucks big ones. We tried it and hate it. Give us back analog. I have degree in electronics and knew this would suck for people in hilly areas. You knew it too..

Digital TV has terrible quality. Even with the best indoor antenna, channels don't come in or pixilate so badly they are hard to watch. We need to bring back analog TV, which always had a great signal on every channel and was easy to watch.

if congress could get analog back all the old televisions would still be useful and people would still have a reason to use it, thus less TV's being wasted away and material that is hard to deal with in CRT TV's would come in less in recycling centers

I agree...I live in the country...only get 3 channels with an antenna...usually 2 of the 3 channels is too pixalated to view. This was foisted upon the people....bring back analog. There's something fishy about the whole thing anyway.

My mother-in-law is low income and she wanted to give up her satellite tv. We thought she could just go back to free digital tv. The reception is terrible and on windy days it is almost impossible to watch tv. A lot of elderly people rely on their tv for emergency alerts. We have had quite a few tornadoes in this area over the last 2 weeks and it is very important that they get this information. I grew up with analog tv and I don't remember ever having as much trouble getting channels to come in. In this day in age with the technology that we have it is really disgraceful. I really feel like something needs to be done about it.

Analog helped to connect the Nation. The fellas in the basement bar could all gather 'round the tube just as Billy and his friends could watch Saturday cartoons in the tree-house on beanbag chairs. I was born in 1993

Back in my teens I had a antenna that was 50' off the ground I would get stations 175 miles away with a total of 40 channels. Now with the same setup I barely get 10 stations and they aren't all that great quality goes in and out all the time. I'd rather see some snow on the tv then have the channel go black on me. BRING BACK ANALOG

Digital and analog should have been made to coexist much like UHF and VHF. Analog is needed even if along side digital signal let broadcasters decide how they wish to transmit then. You are also alienating small band broadcasters using lower power transmitters.

Digital TV reception is terrible!! I can't afford Satellite TV. I shouldn't have to pay for satellite TV just to watch a couple of local stations. Why change something that's good and works for everyone to something that doesn't work right?? I hardly ever get to watch the few shows I do enjoy. It's very frustrating...I'm sitting here typing this as my TV screen is going off and on. I absolutely hate it!!!!!!!

Analog is definitely better than digital tv. I have never had so much frustration since digital tv came out. The picture breaks up and you lose audio constantly. I watch a lot less tv now than I used to. I grew up with free tv, I refuse to pay for tv now. They (whoever they are) can have it all to themselves.

The conversion to digital television left some of my televisions unable to receive signal. Converter boxes now are about $30-$50. But what I hate most of all is getting channels, the rabbit ears are not effective and a low signal can make a channel nearly unwatchable. At least with analog the quality would degrade, not freeze and drop.

Digital television is terrible, most times it never comes in, cable isn't offered in our area. Satellite Jack's up the prices because they know they have a local monopoly and you do nothing about it. Plus when satellite is needed the most like during a nasty thunderstorm it cuts out entirely. Converting everything to digital just proves you are looking out for the people that pay your campaigns, not the people that vote you in.
