Homework started off as a punishment by a french proffesor, why did we make this normal?! Kids have a long day at school, only to have more work when we get home. The whole school year kids are stressing, there only hope is summer BREAK, but sadly many of those kids get homework during summer BREAK. Let's get this going around and get more signatures. It is crazy the amount of homework and projects kids get these days. Kids and parents are at school and work all day and then have to come home to 2-3 hours of homework each night. It's crazy!! So i was absent the last two days before spring break because i was sick and i have constantly worked from 3:30 to 11:00 at night trying to get caught up on just homework... that gives no time for other things that i have to do, daily responsibilities... not only that but i have to get up at 5 in the morning to go to school, that is only 6 hours of sleep... i can't function at school, because of school. This is ridiculous, i understand the concept and purpose of homework, but there shouldn't be so much that it causes stress in the students life.
