Homework ruins my life! It is overwhelming, and I get headaches all the time, and sometimes migraines. I also don’t get much sleep, and on top of it, I have to get up at 5AM every single morning. There is chaos in my home a lot because of homework. Plus, don’t these teachers think a whole day of school work is enough? We need a break sometimes. We're not eating well now. Homework has become overwhelming in our home. These kids are being pushed these days and for what really??? School hours were already lengthened longer and now their sending home all this homework. Well when are people supposed to bathe, eat, clean and etc? Or is none of that important anymore? I go to school for six hours. That's 1/4 of my day (not including sleep) then I go home and do homework for 3-5 hours giving me only about 12-14 hours of free time. Recommended sleep time for someone my age is ten hours. That's four hours of free time and that still doesn't include me waking up in the morning and getting ready for school. I really can't stand it when teachers give homework on the weekends. How am I supposed to relax and enjoy my weekend when I have hours and hours of homework to do and then go back to school? It really isn't fair. Homework on the weekend should be banned FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, there should be less homework given during the week so that students have more time to study for tests and go to bed earlier. That's the reason why students are late to school and get bad grades on tests/quizzes, they were staying up too late doing their homework. Plus school doesn't determine our intelligence . If. I wanna be a math teacher I would go to college for it . When am I gonna use any of he stuff math teacher teach ? "You use math everyday." No I don't -- and definitely not the math you teach . After fifth grade we don't need to learn it anymore all I need to know is multiplication,division,subtraction, and addition . Oh and then the teacher might say engineers use math . Ok if I wanna be an engineer I'll go to college not live with depression because of school . We should really just learn the stuff we ACTUALLY NEED to know . Then when we're adults we can go to college and study for what we want to do as a job. Well we remember anything that we learn in school ? No . And if it was important enough for us and actually needed them we might remember . Do I walk around saying oh I'm this many degrees from this palm tree and I'm at an angle of this and that I need to walk this many squares to gento - no .
