Anyone that can harm an animal for no reason at all deserves to be punished. Puppy mills should be illegal, that is no way for an animal to live. That is cruel punishment that they don't ask for, and are scared out of there mind and wonder why people are being so mean.. And same with the animals that are abused beaten, raped and all the cruelty and harm that people cause them. The animals wonder WHY? This is NOT ok with me. How would you feel if this was you?? People that think its ok to do this to animals are SICK people, and should be punished.. Ashley

Are we supposed to be a nation of civilized people? It's obviously big money to take donations under false pretense and say you're saving animals, in truth wallets are getting fat and untold numbers of animals are being euthanized every day!

I believe that the US Congress has a responsibility to the donating public. For years people have donated hundreds of millions of dollars to the ASPCA, PETA and HSUS for animal rescue while these three groups have intentional mislead the general public about the outcome of their "rescues and puppy mill raids".. They have intentionally mislead the donating public into believing that they were using their hundreds of millions of dollars in donation money to "save puppy mill dogs". Nothing is further from the truth. Peta kills an "average" of 90% of all animals that they rescue. The HSUS doesn't even own ONE dog shelter. The HSUS sends many of these "rescued animals" to certain death. In many instances these animals are sent to certain death in large city "pounds/humane societies. The ASPCA also has sent thousands of these dogs and cats to certain death over the years. These groups have intentionally lied to donors while leading them to believe they were saving these animals. This is nothing less than fraud. The HSUS and ASPCA do NOT keep any records of how many of these Puppy Mill dogs that are actually killed. All while lying to the public while proclaiming themselves to be "puppy mill rescuers". I believe that these three groups have committed fraud, lied and manipulated the donating public for decades in an effort to gain support and have done so while profiting BILLIONS while lying to the public. The US Government is responsible for seeing that these people spend our donation money to save these animals.. NOT abandon and kill them... I believe that it is time that the US Government investigates these groups and install some kind of over site to require that these groups spend our money in an ETHICAL manner. These three groups have lied to the public for years about the outcome of these raids. We are asking that you investigate their illicit raid tactics, their attacks on breeders, farmers and other rescues that they have defamed in the name of "animal rescue". It is your duty. Thank you!

Rescues should be required to sterilize ALL animals in their care. They should also be required to carry insurance on their property so that when visitors come to see the potential new family members everyone's rear end is covered if something goes wrong.

If this in fact is true then it is sickening. They should be prosecuted as anyone else defrauding consumers & running scams. These poor animals suffer enough and this breaks my heart. Perhaps it should be the people in those barels!

My local community college gave extra credit for donating time to the local animal shelter. I found out that the local "government" animal shelter was closed and that the local animal shelter was growing so I started donating time there. Since I lost confidence in the government for overseeing our money, I started donating time (in addition to money) to our local shelter. We enter the kennels and sit and love on them and give them human touch which helps with their depression. Depression can lead to physical illess, which can lead to them being uthenized. Most depressed dogs do not get picked as a family animal so they stay longer which is not good. If you can't donate money, please donate time. Time, Love, and Touch (TLT) is as important to these animals as food and shelter. You can sign the petition to make our government do their job AND donate TLT. Since you are on the computer now, sign this petition and then search for your local animal shelter. Make a commitment to donate just one day a month and bring your children. I believe that educating the next generation is what will make the most difference! Thank you!

All I know is after reading this article and the research it inspired me to do, i am SO GLAD i accepted these two dogs into my household a couple months ago. I guess the fact that these are just "animals" it's ethical to kill all these homeless pets. But need I remind you mothasuckas (Organizations & US congress), we humans, are simply "animals" as well.

God created animals, doesn't that alone say enough about how horrible it is to kill so many of His creatures simply because they are homeless? What's next? Are we going to start killing off homeless human beings????? This needs to stop NOW!

According to every statistic that Ive read online, The ASPCA spends about 2-3 % of their average 100M yr intake on actual rescue. Every stat that I have read states that the HSUS spends less than 1% of their 80-100M yr on 'rescue". PETA actually spends more percentage wise from the stats Ive seen on community efforts / spay and neuter programs for the community etc/animal care. The problem with PETA is not community effort its their KILL statistics of the dogs and cats that THEY take in. PETA does not run a shelter per say, so they pretty much kill everything / drop offs/ strays that hit the door. The HSUS and ASPCA, made famous AND RICH for their puppy mill raid / saves are not "saving" most of these puppy mill dogs at all. The HSUS couldnt save them if they wanted to. How could they? They dont even own/ operate ONE dog / cat/ humane shelter. They send the saved dogs to city HS / other shelters to deal with. Many times they end up in large city HIGH RATE kill shelters like KERN COUNTY HS.. Google KERN COUNTY HS euthanization rates. ASPCA does the same thing. Although the ASPCA does own a shelter. They also do "raid and abandonment". The larger percentage of puppy mill raid animals are also send to city HS. This is how the HS can show you such low "KILL RATES" in their own numbers. they do NOT account for the kill rates of these pupppy mill raid dogs. Why should they? Just as the HSUS, they dont get the displeasure of doing the killing. They leave the dirty work for the smaller, DESPARATE, less fortunate groups who they use as the dumps, whom they give a small pennace for their efforts, that end up doing the "dirty deed".. You see, its not "puppy mill rescue".. Its puppy mill raid and abandoment. You are financing the KILLING of these puppy mill dogs many times. As well as many hoarder and other shelter animals that they "raid" for their TV commericals. What the HSUS ASPCA and PETA DOES do with a lot of this money is use it for lobbying state after state under the "guise" of puppy mill recue in their efforts to pass laws against the farming industry... READ THE OTHER PETITION ON THIS SITE REGARDING AGENDA 21 . On this site type in "AGENDA 21 save our farms". Then google Edwin Sayre, Wayne Pacelle and Ingrid Newkirk while googling the word "vegan". Do each name individually. Research these "vegan" headed groups investment portfolio. See howt they invest in the "meat industry". How the HSUS uses their 25+ attornies to lobby state after state in their efforts to regulate the meat industry.. You want to know why you can barely afford to buy meat these days? Thank the ASPCA, HSUS and PETA... And thank the countless donors who didn't do their homework before they financed these groups and their agenda. YES these groups do some good. FOR VEGANS.. ANd YES I believe that all animals SHOULD be treated humanely. But if you are NOT a vegan/vegetarian, you had better learn to raise your own cattle and "do the dirty deed for yourself" i

A lot of it does help animals, but I would like to see much fewer animals put to sleep. They get more than enough money to keep them alive...
