Unfortunately, we are paying the price for the last couple of generations of spoiled rotten children who have grown into spoiled rotten adults. If things are not exactly the way they want them to be they will stop at nothing to make those things go their way. Other people be damned!! Every parent out there who raised, or is raising, a child like that should hang their head in shame!!

I and my family have had multiple experiences where people trespass on our private property. We live on private property. We want our rights protected so our family is safe. Our horses are our family. We want them safe too.

It is much more humane to have them put down than to have them starve, get hit on roads, be eaten by wild animals, or stuck in swamps to meet a long, painful, and untimely death! Because of the closures we as horse people can't give away foals let alone sell them at a profit! My business has been in the red for many years now! Since the closing of the slaughter houses. There needs to be a place for the dangerous, the old, the sick beyond help, the crippled, etc. Because of the closures what are people to do with them??? The market is flooded with junky animals and the breed assocs are crying about no new registrations Responsible breeders are no longer breeding however backyard breeders continue to flood the market with less than quality animals that end up roaming wild to fend for themselves! Reopening the slaughter houses would eliviate that problem. They can be monitered for humane treatment of the animals there. How are they any different than cattle, sheep, hogs, etc. Are we going to stop that too????

These people are stupid, hay is high price, and alot of people can afford to feed them, and they can't sell them. They starve. Or people turn them lose on state lands thinking there grass go run free and eat. But they for get where is the water for them? Poor horses are suffering more then they ever have, before, and it breaks my heart.
