Parental Alienation is Mental Abuse, plain and simple. My Children are being taught behaviors by my ex-wife that will haunt them and their children for the rest of their lives. I have spent $60,000+ on Attorney Fees in just 3 years. All of this time in Court resulted in a Joint Parenting Agreement which includes a paragraph titled "Parental Cooperation", yet when my ex-wife blatantly violates the agreement the Court can't or won't do anything about it. Targeted Parents need a way to put a stop to the behavior of Alienating Parents. Please put some teeth into the law. Thank you!Jan 22nd, 2016Someone from Blythe, CA writes:
It is a horrible form of abuse that people will never understand until they have experienced it first hand. This should be a crime. But in addition, I believe there should be a cap on attorney costs and a time limit. 730 evaluations should be 100% included in the fees and should be mandatory for ALL divorces which include children. The psychological state of the parents is crucial to how they will make it through to adulthood. Its all tragic!!! I truly hope this passes.REPORT COMMENTS

Professionals in different disciplines identified and defined Parental Alienation as the pervasive practice of one parent against the other parent to destroy the parent-child relationship with the targeted parent. This is usually done with the intent to gain financial benefits. Since 1990, the year that The Convention on the Rights of the Child entered into force, a more pernicious form of Parental Alienation has permeated parent-child relationship. Parental Alienation is now perpetrated not only by alienating parents, but judicial systems and government agencies too, without any evidence or proof that the alienated mother or father is harmful to the child. In order to comply with the yearly resolutions suggested by (NGO's) to the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child, UN Member States Parties initiated, developed and sustain a worldwide persecution of parents. As a consequence children are taken away from their parents for no just cause or no just purpose. The UN Committee resolutions are accepted unquestioningly and never contested by any State. Children Protection Services (CPS) are privately owned non-government organizations (NGOs), funded by governments. CPS are forceful and heartlessly removing children from their homes, parents, grandparents and family under the most warp and heinous allegations to trade removed children in the financial rewarding business of foster homes and child adoption. My husband has been the victim parent of parental alienation, our "court appointed lawyer" gave no attention to our case. The lawyer we paid a retainer to ended up being arrested for fraud and disbarred. My husband has suffered 4 years away from his kids. The 18 yr old refuses to talk to him, The 17 yr old texts when he can and the 12 yr old has very limited access and cannot really talk without Mom out of the house. This is ridiculous. The court ordered that my husband be able to see the children at times they agreed upon and that was her weapon. If he tried to call she threatened to have him arrested for harassment. If he contacted them on social media she blocked him. It has been insane and now my husband is a broken man, ashamed of not being part of his kids lives, too affraid to be close with his step daughters, and generally angry most of the time. All because of this. No one in this case cared about what was in the best interest of the children. The investigation did not turn up a single doctor, therapist, case manager, or community member that felt the children were being abused. Children and Youth Services made the decision to take his three children out of the home. My girls, well they were not even interviewed. Pretty strange for an accusation of abuse. We have been told that our civil right were violated by various professionals however we ran out of money, my husband had a nervous break down and lost his job. We lost everything we had trying to fight this. We ended up moving in with my parents 16 hours away in MO and when his ex found out she told the kids their Dad hated them that's why he moved. Not because we had no other choice. Not because the lawyer we had was a fraud, not because he was forced to pay $1050 per month in child support even while he was not working and hospitalized in partial impatient services. Nope according to her and HIS family it was because he didn't care about his kids.REPORT COMMENTS

My ex-wife in Ireland renege on a US court order that she signed off on guaranteeing me visits from my daughter for every other Xmas and every summer. My attorney tells me that there's is nothing that can be done since the ex-wife is in another county. So yet another Xmas without my daughter. My daughter doesn't want to visit me in the summer since she'll be away from her horses. The court order is useless as congress and the courts in the state of California.REPORT COMMENTS

My fiance is dealing with parental alienation as we speak! Years and Years and no change. Please make the change! This is abuse on both of his kids and him. One of the kids has run away and verbalized her desire to be anywhere but with the mother. He wasn't even allowed to see his youngest daughter after she ran away and he drove 6 1/2 hours across state to help look for her! But it's ok for her to deny access and tell everyone he is someone he is not? He sends her money every month and he never sees the girls? I would have never believed the story that I have seen unfold in front of my very eyes over the past five years. I have seen failures in the family courts, several mental health providers and so called therapeutic services and a Guardian that is looking out for the best interest of the child that are feed by the family court system.
