This bill will be the only way that I can get out of debt and be a productive member of society.

It is outrageous that you don't want to invest in our youth, and you want to bring professionals from overseas. This is Hypocrisy! Please, finance our children's education and stop the burden of student loan debt.

I have been irreparably harmed by the predatory lending habits of my student loan provider who insists that its legal to charge me $1.21 for every $1.00 borrowed. They will not negotiate more favorable terms....they treat me like a non paying ne'er do well. I have had my power shut off, water, cable, and other base necessities by their practices. I am a teacher who can't buy a car and who has, on many occasions, gone hungry because I have no money to eat. I thought usury laws were meant to prevent this type of loan sharking. I want to pay my debt and believe that I already have. Borrowed $40,000........paid back appx. $36,000.....and still owe over $30,000??? It's shameful, hurtful, and humiliating to know that I'll probably die of old age before this debt is paid off..........please help! All I want to do is use my chosen 2nd profession to live the American Dream. It hurts that elected officials have turned a blind eye to the workers of this country regarding this issue. Please help!

I was sold on the idea that a good education would lead to a job that would make my student debt affordable. It is not true, instead I am spending my life paying down a debt that keeps me from ever getting ahead.

I have $216,000 in student loan debt, and I am a teacher on a leave of absence. Please consider discharging Federal and private student loan debt through bankruptcy. Thank you.
