I have a very good friend that had a child in high school at the age of 17, she got pregnant at 16. The father of her child is a registered sex offender. The child is now 4 years old and the father wants to go to a mediator to try and have something legally done to have custody. When the child was only 2 days old, the father became physically violent and controlling with my friend (the mother). She obviously isn't with him anymore, but her daughter sees him 3 days out of the week. The parents both arranged the visitation, but now my friend is scared that he wants legal custody. I feel that my friend shouldn't have to be scared to have her daughter with him. She should be able to have sole custody with supervised visitation for the father. She has been a wonderful mother and has provided solely for this child since birth.REPORT COMMENTS

I am living with my step dad a guy that has raped me since I was 12 to 15 I am 16 now and still terrified that he might continue it I've told my mother about it and my boyfriend and some other siblings in my family one of the siblings I have my sister had told me it happens to her right when my daddy had done the same to her my daddy is a registered sex offender and my mom is trying to say she's going to make me live with him it isn't right why can't anyone do anything about this I should be able to have a say so in any of it but of course no one wants to listen to the teen because they always think there wrong well I want to stand up for myself and help as many people that are in the same situation as me and my sister and get something done about it!!!REPORT COMMENTS

A court in Texas just gave custody of my 4 year old daughter to her father because he has "connections" to the judge. I have NO criminal history, no drug abuse and nothing to ever even hint that I am an unfit parent! I will fight this to the death. My daughter is in danger...that is why sex offenders are labeled! We are fighting the exact same kind of case in Oklahoma. There is no reason for this monster to have custody, he has already shown neglect and the court is due to hear it on March 5th 2014. she has already been with him for 7 months and declined every month since. He the judge ordered her to move 1500 miles away from mom when mom had done nothing wrong besides not have a good enough attorney to fight for her daughter. The fait of this child weighs on the shoulders of the insane judge that put her in harms way. Should anything happen to her I consider him personally responsible for unleashing this monster on a child and he should be punished accordingly.REPORT COMMENTS
