Perhaps another standard change us to have the first postpartum visit well before 6 weeks, perhaps 2 weeks. And encourage rather than discourage women to ask questions if they have questions or concerns, no matter how small. Women do tend to ignore their own health when they have a newborn.REPORT COMMENTS

Nurses who think they know it all and can handle the situation in my mind can be very dangerous. They are often reluctant to call in the doctor. My advise to anyone is stay with your loved one and make sure if something is going wrong you demand a doctor on the spot. But in my mind the whole medical profession like all professions in this country has in fact lost their PROFESSIONALISM period!!!REPORT COMMENTS
