Salazar has always had a vendetta against horses, wild or domestic, as he has a cattle industry background. In his position he should forget his past and do the right thing and protect that which is under his control. The BLM is suppose to protect the wild horses and burros and anyone in the cattle industry has a conflict of interest with the protection of those animals. The BLM should not be in charge of caring for wild horses as the BLM oversees the range and they get tunnel vision with the issues that come up under their jurisdictions which includes grazing permits for cattle to graze on public lands. Can you say "conflict of interest"

Salazar is acting against the law, as accountability and transparency so far do not apply to him. This is an arrogant misuse of his power. He needs to be gone from this post and any other that may be available,as he is a rogue agent, and hoepfully does not speak for the adminsitration. Does the president even know what Salazar is doing, or will he plead "no knowledge"? We have written, called, done everything we can and might as well be mute,as we are not heard. We are the voices of the Herds, as they cannot speak! Our Horses on Our land!

ken salazar needs to go. he has his own agenda & is not listening to the people of the US. his interests lie in serving the cattle ranching industry, the mining industry, & the drilling industry....NOT wild life....NOT the environment....NOT the american public.

It is a sad commentary on our democracy when the voice of the American people is ignored completely and when a public hearing requires gun-toting guards to intimidate rather than protect.

100 years ago we had no oil and horses. 100 years from now we may have no oil or horses.

The BLM abuses horses. I have three animals rescued from the BLM with permanent physical damage due to their practices. They are violating the 1971 Wild Horse and Burro Act.

Ken Salazar leads a department known only for deceit and flaunting the law and rubbing his true employers, the American people, noses in it. Mr. Salazar for gross mismanagement of public funds, operating under a cloak secrecy that denies Americans the right to be informed of their employees actions, flaunting of laws and failure to take the advice of the American people AND their elected officials you should be fired.

Ken Salazar has shown a far different face now that he holds the office of Department of the Interior Secretary, than that of the office he held in Colorado. He is allowing the cattle industry to run roughshod over the wild lands that were designated by LAW in 1971, for the "Free Roaming" Wild Horses and Burros Act. It's high plains time to rein in this masquerading puppet of a Department of the Interior Secretary of the BLM, by the dangling strings that the cattle industry czars control.

The wild horses and burros are an asset of the United States government. They are TAXPAYER owned assets. The BLM has provided any substantiation of any legitimate reasons to destroy them or remove them from their natural habitat. The BLM is so sure of their inability to justify their actions that they assisted Congress in exempting from the National Environmental Protection Act which would allow citizens to challenge their actions. NEPA was enacted to protect citizens, give them a voice in maintaining legitimate objections to actions by government that may have significant environmental impacts. Of course if the governments actions were completely defensible, they would need to silence the citizens who the BLM is employed by. Dump Salazar.

The BLM has been a travesty and corrupt to the bone for years and now it seems as if they have just the right leader to further their incompetent tactics and "policies." It's time to clean house and demand that OUR Wild Horses and Burros are protected and cared for as stated by LAW. This is OUR Public Land and OUR Wildlife, if we lose the very partners that helped build this Country, with no regard to their safety, welfare or protection in perpetuity we have lost our souls.

This man has no idea what his position is suppose to be doing..... Following laws that have been on the books since the 70's were put in place for a good reason, to arrogantly ignore the law is reason enough to call for his resignation.

Ken Salazar has only private interest groups interest on his agenda. We need a real Department of the Interior Secretary...not a puppet who works for private interest groups.

Ken Salazar; history will show you were the wrong man at the wrong time if you continue your ill-advised plans for the removal of the Wild Horse's and Burro's from their federally designated lands.

Secretary Salazar's resignation is paramount to the survival of the species. Since he took office as the Department of the Interiors Secretary of the Bureau of Land Management, he has round up more than one third of the species population.
