Americans are desperate for jobs and instead of educating them, there's talk of cutting Pell Grants and importing foreign workers to take Americans jobs. Bad enough we've allowed so much manufacturing to be sent overseas, now we'll bring the labor here to finish the job.

What a bunch of jokers these Indians are! A country of a billion and yet they want to get ALL the green cards at our expense? I've been playing by the rules, patiently waiting in line since 2006 to get my green card just to find out these jokers all of the sudden want to change the rules to cut in line, I don't think so!

One thing I wanted to make sure during the process is that why are we taking country by birth and citizens of a country. Suppose a person born in china could be a citizen of UK. I think there is a lot to change in the immigration. Please change the immigration by citizenship instead of country by birth.

HR 3012 does not make sense. Why should two countries get 90% of all visas? As someone else mentioned, if people in countries with over a billion population all want to leave their country, then they will have to wait.

2 countries have 14% of visas already this will give them more than 90% of the visas available...where is diversity? where is fairness ?? Please DO NOT approve this....

I think this is just the work of lobbyists in the washington paid by Indian lobby and other interets groups funded by Indian lobby. If a country has over 1 billion population and majority of its people does not want to live in their country then there is certainly going to be big time lags in getting green cards. Diversity demands that visas should be allocated equally in all the countries so that every body should have equal opportunity to migrate to US. I am 100% sure if the visa capped is removed than more than 90% of the visas goes to only India and China because of their huge population. Is this called the "Equal Opportunity" and "Fair Competition"??????

As per my opinion, USA will have a very high influx of Chinese and Indians ( no wonder because they have high population), and work places will be monopolized. Culturally, Indian and Chinese are known to favor their countrymen first in every scenario. Thus, USA , land of diversity will not remain the same. Moreover, if the immigration is fixed in such a way where people who has been in this country for longer time, LEGALLY, holds atleast a bachelor, and knows about American culture and history should be given the higher preference. A country should not pass a law because it is "not fair" to the foreigner rather should pass law that is beneficial to the country. USA will always find talent people and immigration will never stop. They should not just let everybody get in. SO,HR 3012 is not beneficial to the USA, and neither to rest of the world. Its only good for blood sucking tech Indian tech giants like,, Infosys, TCS, Wipro and many more

The huge backlog is simply because there are too many Indians, having a per country cap is just fair. They can't blame other countries for the long backlog.

I am a registered voter of the US and this bill will kill diversity and provide an unfair advantage to one or two oversubscribed countries and hurt the American worker.

If this bill passes it will be a huge blow to the immigration system in the US. This bill is designed to give green cards to thousands of Indians, many of whom are here on fraudulant visas - taking away well paying jobs from Americans. This is a travesty and must be stopped. We cannot flood the US market with thousands of Indians who are here illegally. Please stop this bill NOW.
